Can't Wait Wednesday!
Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
I am combining CWW with Books From the Backlog hosted by Carole at Carole's Random Life in Books. This will allow me to feature some newly "rediscovered" books, which I plan on reading, alongside a new release.

Top Ten Tuesday: Getting Personal
Getting Personal!
This week is a cover freebie, and I wanted to focus on covers featuring people. I remember having a long debate with my daughter about covers, and she doesn't tend to like covers that feature people. She allows, that it is ok, as long as there are no full faces, such as people turned around or in profile. I am not sure where I stand on that whole issue, but I have liked lots of covers, which showed people, both illustrated and photographed - some with faces, some without. I think I can be initially drawn to a cover, because it is simply attractive, but I tend to really like, or even love, a cover after I have read the book, because I tend to understand or connect to it more. Anyhow, here are some favorites from the past year featuring people.

Top 10 of 2019: New-to-Me Authors
It's the end of the year, and that means BEST OF lists! I find this task difficult, but I enjoy it so much.
Top 10 of 2019 is a hosted by Kimberly Faye Reads and Ginger. Today's topic is...
I am always on the look out for new authors to try, and I get even more excited, when their book wows me. It makes me happy to see my go-to list grow, and these are few new-to-me YA authors I discovered this year, who dazzled me with their books. **I am excluding debuts, as I will be writing a separate debut author post.

Top Ten Tuesday: Falling for Fall!
I am always declaring my unending love for fall. The crisp, cool days, the beautiful shade of nature, the sweater weather, and the availability of all things pumpkin spice are just some of the things that endear this season to my heart. For this TTT, I scanned my read-shelf for those books that "felt" fall-ish to me, mostly due to the cover art and colors, but some had strong fall elements in the story, as well. I have read and enjoyed each book featured on this list.

Top Ten Tuesday: What I Like About You
What I Like About You!
I read a lot of books, and meet a lot of characters, but there are some that win a foothold in my heart, because there is just something special about them. Thinking back to all these characters I loved, I have identified certain types of characters, which endeared themselves to me. That is what we are talking about this Top Ten Tuesday. As always, I will feature YA books I have read and enjoyed, and will give an example of a character, who fits the description from a recent read.Sunday, October 6, 2019

Top Ten Tuesday: My Fall TBR
This is my official declaration of the books I am sworn to read this fall. The end of the year is always interesting, reading-wise, because not as many books are published, which gives me a lot of freedom in terms of what I will read. However, I tend to fly by the seat of my pants, when it comes to my "free" books, and never know what I will be picking up.
I am certain, that I will be reading my November and December review books, though. Below are a mix of the YA and adult books I have on my "to review" spreadsheet. I am very excited about all then of these, and cannot wait to read them!

Top Ten Tuesday: Not for Review
This week I am talking about non-review books, or rather, books I read, and loved, but were not provided by a publisher. Rather, these are books I either bought or borrowed. I read every book on this list at some point this year and each earned between 4.5 - 5 stars from me. All were big winners for me.

Top Ten Tuesday: Book Besties!
Book Besties!
I have read many books and "met" many characters, some of whom, I would love as a friend. A few qualities I look for in a friend are: loyalty, generosity, and a good sense of humor. Many of my favorite characters possess these qualities, and below are a few I would be honored to have as a friend. I am trying to focus on newer books, but there are a few oldies in there, because I adore them too much to leave them out.

Top Ten Tuesday: Life's a Beach
We recently celebrated (or mourned, in my case) the first day of summer, and when one thing I associate with summer is beach reads. Now, I am not a beach fan, but I love beach reads, or at least my idea of what a beach read should be. For me, they are books that lean towards the lighter side. They are generally fun and uplifting, and leave me with a smile on my face. Basically, I am describing the type of books I like to read all the time, but tend to be associated with those carefree summer days. The following are a list of YA books, some old, some new, which I plan to read this summer.
