Discussion: Writing for All Ages

This Week’s Topic:
WRITING FOR ALL AGES

Since last year, I have been seeing more and more of my favorite YA authors crossing over into adult romance. It's been very exciting for me! But, my go-tos aren't just writing adult romance, many of them are writing for different age ranges, and I admire their ability to be successful for a myriad of age groups.

Can't Wait Wednesday!

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

I am combining CWW with Books From the Backlog hosted by Carole at Carole's Random Life in Books. This will allow me to feature some newly "rediscovered" books, which I plan on reading, alongside a new release.

This week I can't wait for:

Top Ten Tuesday: I Would Follow You

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is...

I Would Follow You!

Today's topic was actually pretty interesting. What characters would I follow on social media? That's a tough question. I would want to see posts from someone with a great sense of humor, because let's face, real life can be tough, and laughter really is the best medicine for that. I also like to see posts about things such as books, science, cute animals, and food.

Here are ten characters, who I think would create posts, which would entertain and interest me. As always, I tried to cull these characters from recent favorites.

Top Ten Tuesday: I'm in the Mood for Love

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is...

I'm in the Mood for Love!

It's a freebie week, and since Valentine's Day is later this week, we are going with some sort of love theme. I feature mostly YA books on the blog, but I read a LOT of contemporary romance. Yesterday, I reviewed two fantastic romances, and today, I want to share some of my recent favorites. These all had fantastic characters, swoony romance, white hot chemistry, and stupendous HEA endings -- all things I look for in a good romance. They also made me feel a lot of things, and I am pretty sure I cried both happy and sad tears as I read each and every one of these.

Five Star Friday: January 2020

On the first Friday of each month, I will share my five-star reads from the previous month. Fingers crossed, I have lots of books to tell you about.

I read 38 books in January, and though many did not earn the full 5-stars, I had quite a few that came close. I did DNF 4 or 5 books, but I still have an overall great reading month.

Top Ten Tuesday: I'm Seeing Stars

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is...

I'm Seeing Stars!

This week, I was challenged to take a look at my TBR, and predict which books would earn 5-stars from me. My goal, when picking books, is for each to potentially be a 5-star read, but I took a critical look, and went for sure things, when I assembled this list.

#AmReading YA - The Bookish Edition

Today I bring you two wonderful YA books with some similarities. Both feature some family drama, and more notably, feature bookish characters. I always love reading about readers, and there were some great moments in both stories, that involved books.
