Six Degrees of Separation

Six Degrees of Separation is hosted by Kate at booksaremyfavoriteandbest. A book is selected each month as the starting point for us to link to six other books. I go a bit rouge by selecting my own book from the previous months’ Five Star Friday, but still maintain the spirit of the meme.

A tantalizing novel about a struggling chocolatier who is granted a magical vision of the future of her dreams, only to realize that her heart may desire something else entirely, from the bestselling author of The Magic of Lemon Drop Pie.

Paris trained chocolatier and single mother Emmie Wynne gave up her own dreams six years ago when she returned to her Pacific Northwest coastal tourist town to run her family's struggling candy store. Now on her thirty-fourth birthday, Emmie has only one wish, to be granted the vision that every Wynne woman is given once in her lifetime—a shimmering glimpse of her true destiny. This year, when she blows out her candles, it finally comes true.

Her vision is more delectable than she could’ve imagined—her very own artisanal chocolate shop filled with decadent truffles and caramels, and her celebrity crush, Henry Summers, down on one knee. And when Henry suddenly arrives in town for the summer, offering Emmie the opportunity of a lifetime, the future in her vision suddenly seems possible.

But a rekindled connection with Jakob, her former high school best friend turned hunky, brooding tattooed baker, forces Emmie to grapple with the bittersweet realization that her destiny may not be what her heart truly longs for. As the culmination of her vision draws nearer, can Emmie find the courage to create a happiness of her own making?

A Sprinkle of Sweet Serendipity

This book was about Emmie who was waiting for the family gift to manifest for her. Every woman in her family gets a vision on one of their birthdays which shows them their destiny. One thing revealed is their romantic partner.

One & Only

The women in the Park family also have visions where they see into a person's past and discover their fated love. Like Emmie, Cassia's future with her fated love was muddied when another man was competing for her affection.

Once and Again

This magical tale takes place in California like One & Only, but this time, the women in the family are gifted with a do-over.

The Second Chance Year

This book also involved a "do-over" where Sadie get to re-do a whole year hoping this time she could keep her boyfriend, her home, and her job as a pastry chef.

The City Baker's Guide to Country Living

Here, we meet another talented pastry chef, Olivia, who relocates to a B&B in Vermont after her career goes up in flames.

If It Makes You Happy

This is another charming romance set in Vermont featuring a hero who owns a bakery and a heroine attempting to run her mother's B&B.

Act Your Age, Eve Brown

Eve's family thought she was a mess, but when she found her way to Jacob's B&B, she found a way to prove her ability while falling in love.
