Sundays with Sam - The Sunday Post

Sundays with Sam is a combination of Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga's Reviews.

My Week in Review

Another week done, and now the vacation countdown really begins! Our little wristbands came, so it makes it all feel like a reality. I would appreciate it, if the temperatures in Florida would drop below 90 before I come to visit. If any of you could make that happen, it would be great.

We started an hourly get out of your seat thing at work. At the beginning of each hour, we get up and do one minute of the designated "office" exercise. It's quite amusing seeing all the squatting, dips, etc. But hey! We're getting sort of healthy together.

On the Blog:

I was a HUGE fan of this book, and love that McManus composed a soundtrack for this book.

You know I'm a cover-ho....

What I Read Last Week

I have zero complaints this week. All my books were quite wonderful. The Geography of Lost Things was my favorite. I don't know. It just had the right amount of romance, emotion, and fun. I loved it! A close second was That Night. As far as my audiobooks are concerned, Lauren Layne never fails to delight me. I smiled so hard at the end of I Think I Love You, that my face hurt. I really liked the narrators for Long Shot. I liked the way they read the book, but I also enjoyed their actual voices. They were really suited to the characters.

  1. Getting up is good! I have to do that, although I won't do exercises in front of anyone lol, but yeah it helps to get up and move around, for sure. We spend so much of our lives in chairs!

I definitely have to check out that McManus playlist! And yay for the Veronica news! I finally get to see the show when it hits Hulu, and it's awesome for fans that they're making a new show. How cool!

    Have a super week Sam!

I loved the VMars movie and both books, so I cannot WAIT to see more VMars eps.

  2. I love that you guys are getting up and moving around at work! It sounds like a lot of fun, and everyone's more willing to do it since it's a group effort. Before being a stay-at-home mom, I was a teacher. We don't sit too often, especially with the little ones. They kept me on my toes!

YES! V-MARS is my JAM! I love that they're making new episodes! I think I have a crush on Kristen Bell, haha. I like watching videos of her and Dax together -- hilarious. Have you heard about the chair he just plopped into the middle of their living room? Heh.

Ohh! The new Christina Lauren book! I'm still waiting to see whether or not I'll be approved. Fingers crossed! I have The Last Wish of Sasha Cade (blog tour), so I'll be starting it soon. I'm happy to see you enjoyed it! You got through quite a few books last week... I've been trying to get through this Winter audiobook that a 143,343,573,355 hours long. <3

I hope you have a fabulous week!

    1. Teaching was the worst job I ever had, but agreed, one seldom sits. I am excited that we will get original cast members for the VMars revival. I am always scared they will do my old shows with new people, and well, that's not the same things. Kristen Bell IS Veronica. Nobody else could be her for me. My request for the CLo book was floating out there for quite a while. I had one on NG and EW. I got it through NG luckily. I remember my daughter reading Winter, and well, that's a long book. Good luck with your listening.

  4. It's so great having a week where all your reads just work!

There are three people that work at my office, and we all have fitbits. My boss is always complaining because his is constantly buzzing him, reminding him to move! I try to get up as often as I can, because it's so easy to just let time slip away and realize you haven't gotten up in two hours!
