Adaptations!
Happy Tuesday! Susan really was creative with this week's prompt, but I have to admit, I struggled with it. I am boring, and when I was scanning my titles, the list to described me leaned sort of dark and depressing.
Therefore, I have elected to do my own thing this week. I happened to see a social post for a new adaptation coming to NetFlix for a book I read, and I thought I would search for books I read that were adapted. Some are out, some are in development, but all were great books.
- In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren
- People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry
- Margo's Got Money Troubles by Rufi Thorpe
- Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt
- The Summer of Songbirds by Kristy Woodson Harvey
- The Bodyguard by Katherine Center
- It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey
- Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid
- Every Summer After by Carley Fortune
- Anxious People by Fredrik Backman
What adaptations have you read?

I loved In a Holidaze, can't wait for that adaptation!
ReplyDeleteI hope they do it well because that was a fantastic book
DeleteI haven't read any of these but I like how you did this.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI'm generally disappointed in adaptations of books I enjoyed, but there are some exceptions. I loved the Project Hail Mary movie. I'm also excited for Remarkably Bright Creatures, especially since Sally Field is starring in it. I love her and I think she'll be perfect as Tova. Fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
I have heard good things about Hail Mary (though I have not read it). I love Sally Field for Creatures. She'll be great.
DeleteI hope they do a good job with In a Holidaze, The Bodyguard and It Happened One Summer because I loved all three books. I liked Anxious People well enough. I'm curious to see how they adapt it.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since I watched an adaptation, but I hope they do justice to those books as well.
DeleteOooh I need Carrie Soto in a movie!
ReplyDeleteI need to look into that one. Sarina Williams is producing it which is awesome, but I am curious who they will get for Carrie
DeleteI had no idea that ANY of these were in development, so I am very out of the loop! I am definitely interested in quite a few, both on screen and in print, so thanks for putting their adaptations on my radar!
