Happy Halloween - Animal Crossing Edition

If you're anything like me, Halloween is one of your favorite times of the year - from the pumpkin spice to the spooky aesthetic, there's lots of good stuff going on in October.

While Halloween is looking a bit different this year, my love of costumes remains. To fill the void, I've enjoyed dressing up my Animal Crossing character and other island residents. Check out some of my favorite costumes below!

First up we've got some classic vampires. Here you can see me and Sherb plotting to drink the blood of our royal captives, a Prince Pudge and Princess Maddie.

Continuing with classic costumes, you can see me here as the Head Witch in Charge of potions class.

You can see that my students have varying responses to my teaching... Maddie and Rodney don't really care, Bubbles is daydreaming while Billy is struggling, Ursala is livid that Sherb fell asleep, and Pudge is quite concerned even though Poppy is confident in her potions skills.

Next up we've got some lovely ballerinas...

And the cutest bunch of fruits, featuring Maddie as a strawberry, Ursala as an apple, Bubbles as grapes, Midge as an orange, Poppy as a kiwi, me as a watermelon, and Melba as cherries!

Arrr matey, prepare ye eyes for some pirates, led by their pirate queen! Man the cannons!!

Next up we've got some ghoulish looks, starting with this pale spector.

Here's a cute little demon.

And our last ghoulish figure appears a bit more ominous...

But also fabulous.

As a huge fan of Mew Mew Power / Tokyo Mew Mew, I'd like to think that my squad is just as cute and magical.

But a crime fighting group is only as good as its training. Check out these ninja bears in the dojo - a fearsome group, although it looks like Pudge dozed off... Perhaps he thinks he doesn't need to pay attention since he's already a bear.

And finally, the last few costumes are arguably the scariest of them all... I am an IDENTITY THIEF!!! See how it looks like we're just "twinning"... but the reality is much more ominious. Poppy and Pudge have absolutely no idea that I am about to steal their identities and ruin their credit.

Bob, on the other hand, fully knows what I'm up to and just doesn't care.

Thanks for checking out my Animal Crossing costumes, and I hope you enjoyed them! As a special surprise, take a look at Sloth in the spooky spirit with his Halloween bow tie!

  1. Haha! You sure went all out! The Watermelon is fun, and I loved your potion lesson. Also, stealing identities? I though AC was a harmless, friendly game! 😉

    1. I wouldn't actually steal their identities - after all, we are besties :)

  2. We really don't celebrate Halloween in Australia, I think it's very much an American tradition even though a fair majority of Australians have some form of Irish heritage. Myself included. Oh heavens that's adorable! Is that a game update that gives you seasonal items to use? Super cute!

    1. Yes! They launched pumpkin items and new costume items at the beginning of the month. Have been loving all the spooky items.

  3. How cute! I won't be dressing up for Halloween and I don't think we're going to give out candy, either! :-( I hope you have a great day, Sam!

    1. Definitely seems like an unnecessary risk to give out candy. I've heard some parents say they'll walk around to show off costumes / look at others, but plan to just wave from a far and then buy their own candy at the store to give to their kid - seems smarter.

    1. It's tons of fun, and one of the ways I got to "visit" with Kiersten during the pandemic. She goes hard on the costumes and photoshoots. I don't have that talent.

  6. Fun!!! Did you do the photos over on that one island? So cool! I forget about all that. I can't wait to go for all the stuff tonight on the island! I don't think we're friends on there, but if you want to be, you can look me up with my friend code: SW-8113-4163-3830, I'm Buffywnabe on there!

    1. Isn't it? The kid kept sending me all these cute pics, so I convinced her to do a post.
