It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date. This post is for sharing what I read last week, what I am currently reading, and what I plan to read.

What I Read Last Week

This was a stupendous reading week. I pretty much read all contemporary romances with the exception of I See You (suspense/thriller), but they were all quite entertaining. My favorite, by far, was Alex, Approximately. It was just the stuff that great YA books are made of. I was happy to finally get to my March Diverse Reading Challenge. The challenge was to read a book where the main character has a disability. I selected How to Keep Rolling After a Fall, because the male MC is a paraplegic, and also because I have had this book since last summer (signed nonetheless). Cuzzo delivered another wonderful story, and is quickly working her way into my shortlist. I was really proud of myself, because I read all but one of the books I had planned on reading. Yeah me!

What I Am Currently Reading

I am currently reading Black Ice, which is the final book in the Stark Springs series, and listening to Get Even. I am struggling a little with Get Even. Maybe it's too angsty for me. Not sure, but I will keep on listening.

What I Plan to Read

I plan to read The Girl with the Red Balloon for my Monthly Motif reading challenge. This month, we were tasked with reading a book set in a different dimension or which involves time traveling. In this book, a girl time travels via a red balloon (surprise!) All kidding aside, it sound interesting, and involves helping people escape from East Berlin to West Germany, which is something my relatives were involved with back in the day.  I am looking forward to Managed, as I am a total fan of Kristen Callihan's books, and I really enjoyed the first book in this rock star series. And yes, I am going to attempt to read When Dimple Met Rishi. Hopefully I get to it this week.

  2. Some great reading accomplished. Like the sound of the Cuzzo book. You also have some great looking books planned for the coming week. All the best with them.

    1. Cuzzo is good at those emotional reads, and I love that she chose the girl on the bully side versus the victim. It just put a smile on my face, and Pax (the hero) was everything.

  3. I See You is on my list. Happy Reading!

    1. I See You messed with my head, because a big part of it is preying on the routine of daily commuters, and I do the bus/train/shuttle thing. Needless to say, I was creeped out.
