Been There, Done That!
Happy Tuesday! This week we are talking about bookish places we have visited. At first, I thought it would be quite difficult, but as I allowed the idea of what makes a bookish place expand, it became easier for me. I feel like I featured a lot of places in New York, but I grew up in Brooklyn and live about 30 minutes from the city. I have visited often. Not much variety as far as cities on my list, but I have a bunch of different types of bookish places. Sadly, I don't have pictures, but I feel these are all really popular and well know places.
- Trinity College - Epic library and the Book of Kells
- The Globe Theatre London - Theatre associated with Shakespeare
- The New York Public Library
- Platform 9 3/4 - From Harry Potter
- The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art - The Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basel E. Frankweiler
- Chicago - Not quite the dystopian city featured in Divergent
- The Strand - A really big bookstore
- Poet's Corner Westminster Abby - Charles Dickens among others are buried here
- Library of Congress
- The Boston Public Library
What bookish places have you visited?
