Top Ten Tuesday - Feels Like "Home"

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is...

Feels Like "Home"!

Happy Tuesday! Today, we were challenged with finding books with a certain word in the title. I found quite a few words that showed up again and again, but decided upon HOME. Looking at the list I assembled, the word took on very different meaning in these titles. There was home as in where I live, home as in home plate, and home as in the warm and fuzzy place we hold in our hearts. Below are ten HOME books I have read and enjoyed with most giving me warm fuzzies.

  1. The Home-Wreckers by Mary Kay Andrews
  2. Home is Where Your Bark Is by Debbie Burns
  3. A Home for the Holidays by Taylor Hahn
  4. Take Me Home by Melanie Sweeney
  5. When We Found Home by Susan Mallery
  1. Last One Home by Debbie Macomber
  2. And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer by Fredrik Backman
  3. Stealing Home by Becky Wallace
  4. Long Way Home by Katie McGarry
  5. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

  1. I actually went and checked my bookshelves and I don't have any HOME titles! A couple HOUSE titles, but no HOME!

    1. I am surprised. I feel it's popular, but home and house could be interchangeable.

    1. I was not shocked because I love cozy books and that's what home makes me think of.

  4. Home was a great word choice! I didn't even think of that. This was a difficult to chose because I wanted it to be books I read and loved. Great list here, Sam!

  7. What a great choice for a word, Sam. I have read and enjoyed 6 of these. I did a search on my Goodreads shelf to see how many books I had both read and unread with Home in the title, and I have close to 100. 😲 I was surprised.
