My Week in Review
Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is doing well. We are battening down the hatches for a little nor'easter. They have already declared a state of emergency. I don't mind staying home, but I hope we don't lost power due to the high winds they are predicting.
I actually did something this weekend. My friend from work came up her and we went to Harold's. This is a deli restaurant where the food is HUGE! They have a few pictures on their website, but you cannot see the scale of the food. I got a potato pancake that was the size of a pizza. It's crazy! It's very close to my home, but I don't really go there. I have not been since my daughter was in grade school (early 2000s), but it was fun to spend the afternoon with my buddy.
I was finally put out of my misery at work on Thursday. My job is safe. They are cutting people from the role since we are shipping some of our responsibilities out to another team, but I will still be in my role. I was very relieved. Now we just have to figure out how to break up the work that is left. It should be an interesting evolution.

Stacking the Shelves
I felt a lot of book love this week. I got approved for two of my anticipated reads of 2026, and I got invite for a book I had previously requested but was in limbo. I quickly downloaded the new Segura book as I adored the previous two installments of this series, and I am considering Dog Person. It looks cute.

Read Last Week
I feel like I have no tolerance for things I don't like these days. I DNFed one or two books this week. Both were by authors I have previously enjoyed, so it was a disappointment, but there are just so many things I will turn a blind eye to.
Other than that, I had a great week. Loved the new Courtney Walsh. Very fun, very feel-good, and The Austen Affair was fantastic too. My favorite of the week was no surprise to me as this series is a favorite of mine. Absolutely LOVED Anne of Avenue A. It was simply perfect.
