Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
I am combining CWW with Books From the Backlog hosted by Carole at Carole's Random Life in Books. This will allow me to feature some newly "rediscovered" books, which I plan on reading, alongside a new release.

Combining the whimsy and possibility of The Midnight Library with the mystery and revelatory power of The Secret, a heartwarming and inspiring novel about a man on a magical ride who is unexpectedly offered a chance at happiness.
After losing multiple contracts, Shuichi must make restitution to his company. Faced with this large, unanticipated debt, the trip to Paris he and his wife have been planning for a year must be canceled. Traveling to Europe was more than a vacation; it offered the hope of reaching their teenage daughter who has stopped going to school and will not leave her room. Feeling despondent and directionless, Shuichi believes he’s the unluckiest person in Japan.
Then a strange taxi mysteriously appears at his door. The driver promises to take Shuichi not to a destination he needs, but to where his next opportunity will be. With nothing to lose, he settles into the backseat and embarks on a series of magical rides that will teach him surprising life lessons, including how luck is not inherent—it’s an investment built over time and even over generations.
A compassionate and uplifting fable, The Lucky Ride will make you reconsider what’s important, how to be more present in your life, and empower you to create happiness not just for yourself but for those to come.
My love for Asian literature is no secret, and there seems to be no end to all the fantastic translated works coming our way. What do I say? Bring em! The Lucky Ride sounds like another wonderful and warm story with a touch of magic that is sure to delight me. As if I wasn't already on board, that final paragraph in the synopsis convinced me that I needed to read this book. I am here for the uplifting stories that leave me with something to think about. This is sure to please me.

When the one you shouldn’t touch is the only one you want…
Against the odds, Erik Mann has overcome his past and built a successful tattoo business in Rose Bend…and he might have just ruined it all by hiring his best friend’s sister. It’s not that Camille Dansen isn’t great at her job, though her insistence on changing everything drives him crazy. It’s all the other ways she’s driving him crazy that are the problem. He can’t fire her. He definitely shouldn’t kiss her. But something’s got to give…
Newly divorced and fresh out of options, Camille warily agrees to work at Forever Ink. To her surprise, everything about this small Berkshires town seems to fit. Erik’s more than the surly, hot bad boy she envisioned. It's not just heat between them—there’s depth too. Trust is a risk she vowed never to take again, but when love puts its mark on you, there’s no way to deny it.
Simone is an author who are been on my TBR for years. As with many new-to-me authors, I love sampling their work via a short story or novella. I was glad to find this one at the library. I do tend to enjoy a best-friend's sister romance, and I like the idea of Camille making a personal comeback. This sounds promising for me.
