Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
I am combining CWW with Books From the Backlog hosted by Carole at Carole's Random Life in Books. This will allow me to feature some newly "rediscovered" books, which I plan on reading, alongside a new release.
This week I can't wait for

Harkening to the witty and swoon-worthy rom-coms of Christina Lauren and Kate Clayborn, a new enemies-to-lovers romp whisking us from the stress of city life to lush Caribbean beaches.
Sasha Rubinstein is not on her game. Parenting with an absent (and objectively douchey) ex has never been easy, but, lately, the judgmental side-eye from people at school pick-up feels extra. It doesn’t help that some entitled dad—with his perfect t-shirts and perfectly punchable (yet adorable) face—keeps stealing the last after-school spots and school hoodies out from under her.
Ethan Jones is not trying to trip Sasha up… at school or otherwise. In fact, ever since they met (which she promptly forgot), he’s been hoping for the exact opposite…or at least to stop thinking about her.
When a game-changing job lands them trapped together on an exclusive private island, they resolve to stop sniping at each other and keep things professional. But with tension building between them and the permeating intoxication of island time, temptation blows in on every tropical breeze.
These two school pick-up enemies are forced together on a private island for work, and we all know, romance and comedy will ensue. We have two great tropes at play here, and I like that we also have two single parents. I feel like the island setting will be a plus as well. Sounds like rom-com gold to me, and I love that.

Genesis Kelley didn’t just get her heart broken. The aspiring veterinarian had it crushed in front of millions of viewers on the dating reality show Marry Me. Now, just as she’s getting her life and dignity back together, her royal heartbreaker, Prince Rafael of Monterra, has landed in Frog Hollow, Iowa. And he’s renting out her aunt’s guest cottage.
Deceiving TV audiences for his brother’s sake cost Rafe the girl of his dreams. But he’s going to fix it, even if it means moving from his mountain-kingdom home to small-town Iowa. A prince doesn’t give up on his rightful princess—especially once he realizes Genesis is in deeper danger than she knows.
Between fixing her truck, whisking her off to Monterra for a whirlwind date, and charming the entire town, Rafe is thawing the ice around Genesis’s heart. Will it be enough to earn back her trust, protect her from her past—and sweep her into a real-life fairy tale?
This is rather embarrassing, but I downloaded this book on July 5, 2016. This is my oldest unread ARC. My ratio is fine (97%), but this is an author is I like. I feel like it just slipped through the cracks, but with few ARCs for the end of the year, I thought, why not? It has a fun premise with the whole prince and commoner thing, and it sounds like a really sweet romance that will delight me.
Let us know in the comments!
You know I cannot resist a royal romance!
ReplyDeleteThis is (apparently) book 3 in the series, but Wilson does a good job filling in the blanks about the experience on the show.

ReplyDelete😱 I think a read is due LOL.
It's from those early days when I went nuts with ARCs. I actually don't have too many unread, but I am not really interested in most of them. This is good so far.
DeleteI have read Wilson, but I don't recall even seeing this one. Hope you enjoy these!
ReplyDeleteI like the premise. This is book 3, but I went back to see the synopses for the other two books, and it's a family of royals. This book and book 2 seem to be sort of linked by the Marry Me reality show tie in, but are also separate. I am enjoying it right now. Kicking myself for not saving it for next year to fulfill my Iowa prompt.
DeleteHopefully they are good as they sound.
ReplyDeleteRoyal Games is good so far.
DeleteOooh the first one is very promising! Enemies to loves and single parents!
ReplyDeleteI never really got involved in the school drama, but I seem to like reading about it.
