Top Ten Tuesday - I Meant to Read That

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is...

I Mean to Read That!

Every year, I share many books that I hope to read. I know I will never be able to read them all, but a girl can dream. Without being specific, I want to read my own books. I have gotten a bit better with this, trying to include more shelf books on my weekly TBR. But for this post, I went back through the books that were added to my TBR in 2023 that I still have an interest in. Some have not been read because I don't have access, but some I simply need to make time for.

  1. All Alone with You by Amelia Diane Coombs
  2. How to Be Remembered by Michael Thompson
  3. The Darlings by Hannah McKinnon
  4. Mayhem in Circulation by Leah Dobrinska
  5. Esme Cahill Fails Spectacularly by Marie Bostwick

  1. The Paris Novel by Ruth Reichl
  2. Technically Yours by Denise Williams
  3. Every Time You Go Away by Abigail Johnson
  4. A Wish for Christmas by Courtney Cole
  5. Secrets of Starshine Cove by Debbie Johnson

Which book should I read?
Let us know in the comments!

  1. I always include a lot of anticipated books that I know I logically won't be able to read. It's nice to hope though!

    1. I had started showing mostly books I had access to. Because of that, I do read most of my anticipating and CWW picks. I also cull my lists often. I think that is why I struggle a bit with this.

  2. I've enjoyed Courtney Cole's Christmas books - I'd go for that one, even if it is a bit "out of season"!

    1. Holiday books are never out of season in my opinion. You are the first person I know who read. Yeah!

  3. While it's easy to get my head turned by all the shiny new releases, I make a real effort to read from my own shelves. There are so many books on my bookshelves and my Kindle that I am truly excited to read. Hopefully we'll both make that a priority this year.

    1. I should try harder, though I don't buy many books. Most of books I read are from the library. I have some books, but I am not sure if I am still interested in some of them, you know

  4. I hope you are able to really enjoy these here. I have seen good things for Denise Williams so hope you enjoy that one.

  5. Technically Yours is one I meant to read as well. Maybe this year? I bet you get to all of these. You're good at getting those backlist books read.

  6. You have a few here that I would have liked to pick up myself. Hope you enjoy them once you get the chance to pick them up.

    1. Not sure if I will get to them, but we have to hold onto hope, right?

  7. Since I've been trying to read more of what I own I didn't have too many 2023 books on my radar but I am enjoying picking up books to check out later when I get more caught up and some of these look good!

    1. I actually only have access (via the library) to about half those books. So, who knows how many I will actually read. It's great you are reading your own books. I know I have found some spectacular books sitting on my shelves.

  8. I definitely want to read more of the books that I own this year too. Gotta get through them, or pass them along.

    1. I did a big clean out of physical books years ago. I knew, in my heart, I didn't want to read them. My kindle is another story. Good luck reading your books!

    Happy TTT (on a Thursday)!
