Discussion: Being Thankful

This Week’s Topic: Being Thankful

Today is Thanksgiving day in the US, and to all who are celebrating:

To me, Thanksgiving Day marks the beginning of the holiday season, and it is a time of year to reflect on things I am thankful for. So, here's my short list.
  • I am thankful that my daughter is safe and doing well in North Carolina. I miss her a lot, but I am proud of all she is accomplishing.
  • I am thankful for Noor and her family. North Carolina is far away, and it gives me peace of mind knowing my daughter has a good friend and her family nearby just in case.
  • I am thankful for the Lazarus-like recovery my father made. What a difference a year makes.
  • I know, I complain about my commute a lot, but I am thankful for my job. It is the first time in a great many years, that I am treated well and I feel appreciated. I really liked my co-workers and my management team is fantastic.
  • I am thankful, that I was asked to join WLABB this year, because it has given me a positive way to use my free time.
  • I am thankful for all the new online friends I have made. I appreciate each and every one of you, who comes by and comments. I love visiting all of you and it's simply wonderful to have people to share my love of books with.

Now it's your turn!

What's something you thankful for?

    1. It's good to show gratitude every once in a while. I used to keep a gratitude journal, but I lapsed. It's so important to have people to support you and I am happy you have that in your friends and family.

    1. Yep, I am new to blogging, but not reviewing. I was actually really touched when Kiersten invited me to join, since this was something she worked quite hard on. She must really trust me. XP
