Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone's week is off to a good start. This is a very interesting topic because things can live rent-free in your head for all sorts of reasons. It could be for negative reasons or positive reasons, or just be something your cannot stop thinking about. I felt like Nellie-Negative when I heard this topic as the first books that popped into my head were all ones that disappointed me for some reason. I then sat with it a bit and found some books that I also loved and think of often. 

1. The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah - So emotional and made me admire the human spirit of people who lived through and survived things like this. Their bravery and resilience was incredible. 
2. This Used to Be Us by Renee Carlino - Carlino likes to wound her readers, and she really had my hopes up until the very end here. I was a mess. 
3. The Probability of Miracles by Wendy Wunder - This is a book about a kid with terminal cancer. There was this part where her mother makes this impassioned speech. She nailed how it is to be a mother, and I have never forgotten that part. 
4. The Midnight Library by Matt Haig - A story that gave me things to ponder. 
5. Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan - So much power in a short story. The ending!

6. What Does It Feel Like? by Sophie Kinsella - A tough one to read as I knew it was semi-autobiographical. It was honest and emotional with a very hopeful ending. Hits harder now that Kinsella is gone. 
7. The Measure by Nikki Erlick - Another book that had me thinking hard about life and if I would open the box. 
8. The No-Show by Beth O'Leary - O'Leary always seems to throw a twist that changes the entire story for me. This one was one that I cannot forget. I remember reading it and my heart breaking. 
9. The Dinner List by Rebecca Serle - This twist cracked my heart in half, but the idea of the story had me thinking hard about who I would invite and why. 
10. The Map of Tiny Perfect Things by Lev Grossman - Another story that had me crying at the end, but it also had me reflecting on all the small joys that come my way every day.
