This book has a very common Californian setting - L.A. I did get to visit many parts of the city with the bulk of the story taking place at the beach which was nice.

Most of this story takes place in Berkley. I have never been there, but it looks lovely in pictures. Berkley is not as prominent as L.A. in books, but the bay area in general is still a pretty popular setting. Nonetheless, I liked spending time there with these two and got to enjoy quite a bit of time outdoors as they trained.

Shalvis tends to set her books in her home state and many are set in the Tahoe area. I have only been to L.A. and Anaheim, but again, from pictures, this part of the state looks beautiful.
