Best Books Read in 2025!
Happy Tuesday! I shared many of my favorites in December when I posted my Sloth Choice Awards, but now I am being ask to distinguish THE BEST books overall. This is really challenging for me. From my 54 five-star reads of 2025, I am picking the following 10 as the overall best. All of these books moved me in some way. A few were deeply emotional while others were super feel-good. All were hopeful which is very important to me, and they left a big impression.
- Songs of Summer by Jane L. Rosen
- This Book Made Me Think of You by Libby Page
- Before I Forget by Tory Henwood Hoen
- The Incredible Kindness of Paper by Evelyn Skye
- The Seven O'Clock Club by Amelia Ireland
- My Friends by Fredrik Backman
- What Happened to the McCrays? by Tracey Lange
- Work in Progress by Kat Mackenzie
- Promise Me Sunshine by Cara Bastone
- Grace & Henry's Holiday Movie Marathon by Matthew Norman

Promise Me Sunshine and Grace & Henry were two I enjoyed last year!
ReplyDeleteYeah! Both authors always deliver for me.
DeleteI never post my top ten favourites, because I can never pick only ten. I love seeing what other people pick though, and there are several on here that I hope to read.
ReplyDeleteI already featured quite a few books with my year end awards. It's hard, and it would be a massive undertaking with the number of books you read.
DeleteSo many good books. I hope you find as many good books this year too.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Mary!
DeleteLoved The Seven O'Clock Club too and I will be reading This Book Made Me Think of You at the end of the month so happy to see you loved it!
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to see what you think of This Book Made Me Think of You. I thought it was lovely.
