My Week in Review
Happy Sunday! I hope all is well with everyone. This week was a smoother one. We celebrated Dad making his 81st trip around the sun. I am always grateful for every year. I kept our yearly tradition of brining him out for his expensive steak. This year my daughter was there as an extra treat. She flew in yesterday and will be here a few days. Always nice to get an extra visit with the kid.
I am working my way through these two DASH diet books I ordered. We have to cut back on dad's salt intake. I am doing it with him in solidarity. I am not one to add salt often, but I found I miss it a bit. I am sure I will get used to it like when I started drinking tea without any sweetener. It takes a bit, but then it's ok.

Stacking the Shelves
When it rains, it pours. I got some great approvals for authors I am a fan of, so that was wonderful. I clicked a Read-Now for the Iacopelli book. I have had this one on my TBR for a few years, and it appears it is getting a rerelease with its upcoming adaptation. I also downloaded the new Lucy Gilmore. I enjoy her book so much, so that was a no brainer. I got an invite for the new Mikki Brammer which thrilled me. The Collected Regrets of Clover was wonderful, and I am excited to read more from this author. Not sure what else I will click, but I am leaning towards Save the Date since it is on my TBR.

Read Last Week
It was a solid week for books I finished. I did have a DNF. Sometimes, you just need to realize some books aren't for you and you are not the target audience. But I am happy to report that holiday books continue to delight me. My favorite of the week was Holiday Ever After by Hannah Grace. I liked her other books, but they did not thrill me the way this one did. Maybe it was the holiday setting with all its Big Hallmark Energy, but it was perfect for me.

I saw a bunch of really great reviews for The Best Worst Thing and saw it at my library, so I checked it out. It's really good. I was worried about the length (over 400 page contemporary), but it's moving at a great pace.
I am FINALLY finishing the Tradd Street series. When I saw my library no longer had the ebook version of this book, I quickly checked out the audiobook in case that would run out as well. Jack and Mellie continue to be on and off. If I hadn't started the next series, I would have doubted they made it with the number of breakups they had.
