Single Dad Romances!
Happy Tuesday! This week was a genre freebie, and let's face it, there are so many genres and sub-genres to pick from. I was surprised to see I have never featured single dad romances. I know some readers are not too keen on kids in romances, but I have to say that my experiences have been wonderful. The kids in the ten books below were all top-notch, and I adored exploring the relationships between the kids and their single-dads as dad got a chance for his HEA.
- The Strawberry Patch Pancake House by Laurie Gilmore
- Give Me Butterflies by Jillian Meadows
- Funny Feelings by Tarah De Witt
- Rifts & Refrains by Devney Perry
- The Au Pair Affair by Tessa Bailey
- Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage
- Catch and Keep by Erin Hahn
- The Christmas You Found Me by Sarah Morgenthaler
- The True Love Experiment by Christina Lauren
- Love, Lists & Fancy Ships by Sarah Grunder Ruiz

There are a lot of single dad romances out there. A lot of them are good.
ReplyDeleteThere are! I have yet to be disappointed
DeleteI don't mind a single dad romance, as long as there's not too much mom bashing! I like when the mom is still totally involved, like in Lost and Lassoed.
ReplyDeleteI think most of the ones I read had the mom fully out of the picture, though a few had a terrible mother, not bashing, just who her character was.
DeleteI enjoyed the True Love Experiment but have totally blanked on him being a single dad! Lol.
ReplyDeleteI don't always remember all the details either. I pull up those lists on GR to help at times and check for books I read.
DeleteOver the years of reading, I've found that I'm a bit of a sucker for this trope (though I guess not just single dad but single parent in general). I love the parent-child dynamic, but also the child-partner dynamic that blooms, too. One I really enjoyed was Heartless by Elsie Silver! I'm keen to check out a few on your list here.
ReplyDeleteSame with respect to the single parent thing (especially as a single mom). I read a book or two from Silver but not that one
DeleteI added most of them to my TBR as I love a single dad romance!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed you enjoy them as well.
DeleteI have only read a few of these, but I'm a sucker for single dad romances. Nice list, Sam.
