Top Ten Tuesday - Single Dad Romances

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is...

Single Dad Romances!

Happy Tuesday! This week was a genre freebie, and let's face it, there are so many genres and sub-genres to pick from. I was surprised to see I have never featured single dad romances.  I know some readers are not too keen on kids in romances, but I have to say that my experiences have been wonderful. The kids in the ten books below were all top-notch, and I adored exploring the relationships between the kids and their single-dads as dad got a chance for his HEA.

  1. The Strawberry Patch Pancake House by Laurie Gilmore
  2. Give Me Butterflies by Jillian Meadows
  3. Funny Feelings by Tarah De Witt
  4. Rifts & Refrains by Devney Perry
  5. The Au Pair Affair by Tessa Bailey
  1. Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage
  2. Catch and Keep by Erin Hahn
  3. The Christmas You Found Me by Sarah Morgenthaler
  4. The True Love Experiment by Christina Lauren
  5. Love, Lists & Fancy Ships by Sarah Grunder Ruiz

  1. There are a lot of single dad romances out there. A lot of them are good.

  2. I don't mind a single dad romance, as long as there's not too much mom bashing! I like when the mom is still totally involved, like in Lost and Lassoed.

    1. I think most of the ones I read had the mom fully out of the picture, though a few had a terrible mother, not bashing, just who her character was.

  3. I enjoyed the True Love Experiment but have totally blanked on him being a single dad! Lol.

    1. I don't always remember all the details either. I pull up those lists on GR to help at times and check for books I read.

  4. Over the years of reading, I've found that I'm a bit of a sucker for this trope (though I guess not just single dad but single parent in general). I love the parent-child dynamic, but also the child-partner dynamic that blooms, too. One I really enjoyed was Heartless by Elsie Silver! I'm keen to check out a few on your list here.

    1. Same with respect to the single parent thing (especially as a single mom). I read a book or two from Silver but not that one

  5. I added most of them to my TBR as I love a single dad romance!
