Top Ten Tuesday - April Showers

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is...

April Showers!

Happy Tuesday! This week's topic is inspired by the old saying:

I was trying to find books that had rain related covers or rain in the title, but this was easier said than done. What I did notice was that I have read quite a few books that feature hurricanes. Most hurricanes are accompanied by rain, so I thought I would highlight those books. The first seven books are all hurricane related. The other three have rain in some capacity. Bailey's book featured a huge storm, and there was no shortage of tough weather conditions in Float Plan. The final book had a cover that gave a nod to rainy weather, but it was also set in Washington state where they get quite a bit of rain. **Ignore The Thing with Feathers. I remembered it wrong. It's a good book, but no hurricane (I think)

  1. Hurricane Season by Nicole Melleby
  2. The Thing with Feathers by McCall Hoyle
  3. Even if the Sky Falls by Mia Garcia
  4. Meet the Sky by McCall Hoyle
  5. The Last Train to Key West by Chantel Cleeton
  1. Never Look Back by Lilliam Rivera
  2. None of This Would Have Happened If Prince Were Alive by Carolyn Prusa
  3. It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey
  4. Float Plan by Trish Doller
  5. Weather Girl by Rachel Lynn Solomon

Have you read any "rainy" books?

  2. Color me impressed that you were able to recall so many books with storms. I was on the struggle bus this week. Such a pretty cover for Hurricane Season. Reminds me of a Van Gogh painting.

    1. I just found another one, too! I was hard. Some were obvious, but I know there are more. It is a pretty cover, and I can totally see the comparison

  3. There are a lot of books with hurricanes! I have never really thought of that. I love that you included Cleeton's.

    1. That was such a good one. I lived in Florida, so I found this historical bits really intriguing in that book

  4. That's quite a lot of books featuring hurricanes! I read Their Eyes Were Watching God earlier this year, and that's the first book I've read in a while with a hurricane in it.

  5. I wish I would've done this one, but I was too distracted with life to get to it. I have a lot of rain/rainy books. I remember since we had a similar TTT last year and I had a bunch with rain but not a whole lot of other "weather" books. Loved Float Plan and Weather Girl!

  8. I like experiencing storms in books, but definitely not in real life! I'm a wimp. Great picks. I've been meaning to read WEATHER GIRL ever since it came out.

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

    1. I found a lot of books with tornados, but I couldn't remember if there was rain. Weather Girl was not my favorite by RLS. For me, the mental health plot over shadowed the romance.

  9. Looove Weather Girl! Of course, the first ones that come to mind for me are books where some kind of giant hurricane destroys the world heh. I do really want to read Float Plan, too! Also, "None of This Would Have Happened If Prince Were Alive" is an amazing title, I am now curious about it, too!

    1. I am sure you have read many disaster books. Yes, that Prince book had quite the title. It's what made me take a look. Float Plan was so good. A beautiful book.
