Top Ten Tuesday - "One" Word Titles

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is...

"One" Word Titles!

Happy Tuesday! I say this every time we have this challenge - it's really hard! I was scanning my shelves, and other than a lot of hockey romances named for the hero, I hardly had any single word titles on my read-shelf. I thought about doing "The" plus a single word, but then I thought I would go literal. The following is a list of books I really enjoyed with the word "one" in the title.

  1. One Month of You by Suzanne Ewart
  2. One Last Gift by Emily Stone
  3. Nine Women, One Dress by Jane L. Rosen
  4. The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot by Marianne Cronin
  5. Everyone is Beautiful by Katherine Center
  1. One Italian Summer by Rebecca Serle
  2. One Night on the Island by Josie Silver
  3. Last One Home by Debbie Macomber
  4. It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey
  5. One Plus One by Jojo Moyes

Have you enjoyed any "one" books?

    1. That was such a great surprise for me. It was funny and swoony, but also touching

  2. That's funny you didn't have very many other than "hero" hockey romances. I had a ton! I love what you did here and used the word "one" instead.

    1. I had to go back to 2019 to find 10 one word titles that were not a man's name.

  4. Lark used this modification too. I've read and loved three on your list: One Plus One, It Happened One Summer and One Night on the Island. I want to read One Italian Summer. Great list, Sam!

    1. One Plus One is so underrated. I think it's my favorite by Moyes.

    1. It's actually about a woman grieving her mother's death which I thought was done beautifully. It's been polarizing with readers because of a certain plot point, but I was ok with it.

  6. I like how literal you went. :) There's actually a book called "One." I wanted to put it on my list, but I haven't read it yet. Hopefully I'll get to it this year.

  8. Smart way to twist the topic! I had a hard time with this prompt, too. One-word titles just aren't my thing, apparently.

    Happy TTT (on a Thursday)!

  9. Great twist, Sam. I love how you made this topic work for you. This is a great list of books as well. I have read and enjoyed 8 of these, so need to add the last two: Nine Women, One Dress and Everyone is Beautiful.

    1. Who know one word titles would be so hard to find on my shelf. *high five* for reading so many of the same books as well. The two you didn't read are from authors I have nothing but great success with. Rosen was such a happy find for me. I have adored all her books, and Center! She always dazzles me
