It's time to celebrate my year in books. I will be spreading my favorites throughout a bunch of categories, but these are all favorites. For more of my favorites, check out my Five Star Friday posts. Today I will be sharing.....
Favorite YA Books!

It's a fact that I read a LOT of YA books, and so many of them were incredible. It's hard to pick favorites, but these are books that made an impression on me and quickly come to mind, if I am pressed for a YA recommendations.

Any outstanding YA reads this year?

  1. I have to admit, I read way less YA this year than I normally do, but I'll have to check some of these out!

    1. Both Reynolds books have been hits for me. He makes me laugh and cry, and that's my favorite kind of book. Hope you enjoy it!

  3. YA unfortunately isn't a genre that is for me, although I can occasionally do a crossover of NA and YA if done well, but I am thrilled that you are loving the genre and have so much passion for it. Hopefully 2021 brings some fabulous YA releases for you to enjoy

    1. I tend to only read contemporaries, but I crossover ages often. I did make a bit of a return to NA this year. I used to read a lot of NA, but not so much for a long while. The books I picked up were good, so that was great bonus for me.

  4. Four Days of You and Me was a fun read. My favorite YAs of this year were both of Erin Hahn's books and then The Cousins. I'm sure there are more, but those come to mind first.

    1. I love Kenneally's books so much. I was sad when the Hundred Oak series finished, but this standalone was great. Hahn's book was a 5-star read for me, and definitely rates high on my list. I liked the Cousins. It was a solid book, but all McManus' books are for me

  5. Four Days of You and Me and Today Tonight Tomorrow were both books I loved also! I wanted to read but didn't get a hold of By the Book or The Surprising Power of a Good Dumpling. I just did a trade on Twitter for By the Book, so hope to get to it this year. I like that you separated these this way, I always or usually always have to do this all in one of my Top 10 posts.

    1. By the Book was the most adorable story! It reminded me of the utter cuteness of Emma Mills' books. I hope you get to it. I had to separate. I have read 460 books this year, and I really found a lot of gems in the bunch. I was trying to showcase as many as possible.

  6. I've only read A Good Girl's guide and loved it as well! I Hope the sequel comes out soon, I love podcast storylines.

    1. I hate that we had to wait a whole year for the sequel. I know a lot of readers ordered the UK edition so they could read it early.

  7. I haven't read any of these yet! Most of them are on my TBR (many of them currently on my Kindle), so hopefully I can get to them this year.

  8. I just bought Not So Pure And Simple. It’ll probably take 10 years to get here because all my packages are delayed, but I’m looking forward to it.

    1. You know, I passed on the book, because the cover looked too serious (judge me), but then Justin Reynold's had it on a list of Black joy books, and I read it, and I loved it. It deserves so much more attention, and I hope you get it, read it, and adore it.

  9. Charming as a Verb is one that I plan to read next month hopefully Sam! And A Good Girl's Guide was amazing!

    1. I cannot wait to read Holly Jackson's next book! I am pretty sure my library will get it. I hope you love Verb as much as I did. I think Philippe is fabulous!

  10. TTT and Early Departures both made my list this year! I also adored Four Days of You and Me and When You Were Everything. Honestly it was a really solid year for books, and I had trouble choosing favorites too!

  11. I have not read any of these! I am such a slacker! I do have a copy of A Good Girls Guide to Murder and need to try to get to it soon.

  12. Charming as a Verb is one that was on my wishlist, but I wasn't able to get it before the end of the year. There were so many YA books that were released last year I feel like I barely scratched the surface with any of the new releases last year.
