Top Ten Tuesday: Getting the Ghost

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is...

Getting the Ghost!

This week, we have a halloween freebie. Everyone knows I mostly read contemporaries, but I have encountered some ghosts along the way. These are all YA books I really enjoyed, which feature ghosts in some way.

Have you read any ghost books?

  2. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is one I'd like to read at some point... I've been curious since I saw the movie trailer (but I haven't watched the movie yet either).

    1. I was so sad when Hawkins had to abandon the spinoff. I was hoping she would come back to it someday, but she has not

  4. “I got a rock.” Hahaha. I got raisins and tiny toothpaste from a house once. Not cool. Long Way Down is on my TBR list. I might have to add Watch Over Me too. I’ve seen a lot of good reviews of it lately.

    1. We didn't do door-to-door in Jacksonville, so my daughter was very excited to go trick-or-treating for the first time, and at the dentist's house, the kids got toothpaste. They were so mad. Long Way Down was powerful. I heard the audio is great as Reynolds narrates it himself.

    1. That and the football thing are what makes me related to CB. The Raven Cycle was good, though, I had to acclimate to Steifvater's style.

  7. I forgot that The Raven Boys had ghosts! If I was doing this prompt that one, Echoes Between Us and The Sun Down Motel would have made the list for sure!

  9. I like ghost stories, but I prefer them to be spooky, not terrifying! These are all totally my speed. I've read a couple of them and several more of them are on my TBR list.

    Happy TTT!
