My Week in Review
Happy Sunday! Hope everyone enjoyed their week.
I have a funny story. I was walking in the parking lot towards the supermarket yesterday. When I passed this Tesla, it started playing spooky music, and the inside lit up with purple and orange lights. Some people really go hard for Halloween.
We had our Halloween decorating contest at work. My team did Worked to the Bone. I thought it came out great. There were some funs, like the pumpkin stock market, and the executive complaints team did a complaints grave yard with lots of punny tombstones.
We are preparing to roll out a big change for my group, and they met with my functional team on Friday to discuss some new procedures. My thing was, they want us to start doing it on Monday. We have to figure out where it can fit in the way we split our work, and the third person who does my job was out on Friday. I am not a huge fan of changes being implemented in one day. Maybe it's me.
I went to my new salon today. It's in this home built in the 1920s. So pretty. I love that they didn't knock any walls down. They just fit their chairs and equipment in the original structure. The stylist was nice and did a great job, and it's the price I had been paying. The time commitment is a bit longer as my last stylist worked out of a personal suite, and here, I am back in a busy salon, but it should work out fine. I always have a book with me.

The powers that be have been lovely with me lately at Netgalley. I was over the moon when I got approved for the new Clare Pooley. I really didn't think they would say yes since they rejected me the last two times. I guess the third times a charm. I got an invite for the new Sarah T. Dubb book which I will be downloading. I think it's set in the world of her first book (which I loved!). It's been a long time, but I won a Goodreads giveaway. This is an author I have read several sports romances from, so I am eager to read Rivals by Jennifer Lane.

Read Last Week
I am most impressed that I finished five books this week. Some were on the short side, but still, I am impressed. My top book was It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder by Ally Carter. This was just as fun as the previous book in the series. It is a companion with the only link being mention of the "famous author" who was kidnapped in the previous book. The book was fun and fast paced, and the last few chapters really surprised me by making me tear up.
