Can't-Wait Wednesday: Match Me If You Can

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week I can't wait for Match Me If You Can!

Match Me If You Can
Tiana Smith

Age/Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Publisher: Swoon Reads
Release Date: January 8, 2019

Mia's best friend Robyn is known for her matchmaking skills, which is perfect, because homecoming is just around the corner. But Robyn refuses to set Mia up with the guy of her dreams, which forces Mia to take matters into her own hands. She uses Robyn's matchmaking service to make sure popular Vince Demetrius falls for her.

Vince asks her out, but Mia doesn't count on Logan, the persistent school newspaper photographer who seems to like her out of the blue. Now she has to choose between Vince - the guy she knows is right for her - and Logan, who insists that she give him a chance. And she needs to make sure Robyn doesn't find out that Mia's been matchmaking behind her back.

Mia has two weeks before homecoming. Can she fix the mess she made or will she have to kiss her perfect match goodbye forever?
It's a know fact, that I love Swoon Reads books. These books always have those perfect-for-me characteristics. They tend to be contemporaries, which feature romance and are on the lighter side. These are all things I love. So, when I first saw this cover revealed and heard it was a Swoon book, I immediately addd it to my TBR. Seriously! Look at that cover. How could I not want to read that?

But, besides the cover and the imprint, I also thought the story sounded adorable. A teen matchmaker's bestie tries to cheat the system, and ends up in a little bit of a mess of her own creation. I sense laughs and lots of feels, while Robyn tries to work this all out.

What are you waiting on?

    1. I am such a sucker for the cute contemporaries. Sometimes I want to cry, but mostly, I want the warm fuzzies. I think this one will deliver.

  2. Very cute cover! Their books don't work for me as they tend to read quite young (but I'm not the target audience, so that's fine!), but they have such great covers! Hope you enjoy them!

    1. I am even further from the target, but for some reason, I love the light and breezy stories Swoon tends to feature.

    1. I would say the bulk of their titles are contemporary romances, that aren't ever too heavy. Totally my vibe.

  11. I haven't read too many Swoon reads although I have read one or two! This sounds too much like a clear cut love triangle for me, but I do hope you'll like it!

    1. I am not sure how straight the edges on the triangle are though, because it sounds like the connection between one pairing is more genuine than the other, which is how I like my triangles, honestly.

    1. I like the not trusting the matchmaker angle, and am surprised, that this not the only matchmaker book forthcoming. Who knew they were popular again.
