Top Ten Tuesday: Bookish Places I Want to Visit

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week's topic is...

Bookish Places I Want to Visit!

Books have transported me to so many wonderful lands. It was quite difficult to pick only ten, but these were the first that came to mind, and I am still hoping this happens:

The Land of Oz
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum

Narnia
The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis

Camp Half-blood
Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan

Velaris - the City of Starlight
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

Wonderland
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

la Isla de los Sueños
Caraval by Stephanie Garber

Idris
All the Shadowhunters' Books by Cassandra Clare

Furthermore
Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi

Warcross Virtual World
Warcross by Marie Lu

Spaceliner Icarus
Starbound by Aime Kaufman and Meagan Spooner

  1. I love Greek Mythology, so Camp Half Blood would be awesome! Hogwarts would be my first choice, and then the magical world in the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa. It's a weird choice, I know, but I think it would be fun!

    1. I expect to see Hogwarts a lot today. I considered the Summer Court from the Iron Fey series, but I don't think I would want to visit any of the other lands.

  2. I knew every HP location would be everywhere today so I purposely avoided those. Looks like you did, too. :) Velaris totally made my list. But only if I get a tour from Rhys. LOL And I considered Idris but it meant knocking something else off, so... And I still need to read These Broken Stars!

  8. The CHronicles of Narnia was my favorite series as a child. I read and reread them over and over. Narnia would be at the top of my list too! I'm 100% sure my son would choose Camp Halfblood.

    1. I feel like if given those two, I would go to Narnia and my daughter would got o Camp Half-blood. I feel like the Percy Jackson books were a big part of her generation, whereas, the Narnia books played such a huge role in my childhood.

    1. Narnia does appear to be beloved by wide audiences, but I think it has a lot to do with the fact that the series is older. Therefore, multiple generations have gotten the opportunity to visit. I think I would fail at Warcross too. I am not coordinated enough for those killing games.

  11. I totally agree with you on Oz! Also, la Isla de los Sueños that would be fun to watch a show. Great list!

    1. I know. I picked a lot of "classics", because those places I first learned of during my childhood have really stuck with me. I wish I had included some of the fictional town I have visited in my contemporary books, but I like to keep myself to 10.
