Five Star Friday is my version of the monthly wrap-up. On the first Friday of each month, I will share my five-star reads from the previous month. Fingers crossed, I have lots of books to tell you about.
I can't believe the year is over! I more than met my Goodreads goal and compiled quite a list of incredible books this year. I finished 44 books this month, and these 3 were the best of the bunch. Two of my 5-star books are 2021 releases, and if this is any indiction of the year to come, it's going to be amazing!

People! September was another fantastic reading month! It ended a bit shaky, but I am still ecstatic about how it went in general. I read 38 books, 9 of which earned 5-stars. Not too shabby!

Five Star Friday: August 2020
On the first Friday of each month, I will share my five-star reads from the previous month. Fingers crossed, I have lots of books to tell you about. I know 2020 has taken a lot from us, but I am still reading so many good books. I finished 41 books last month, and a whopping 8 earned all the stars. It's also interesting that 5 of these are new-to-me-authors, and I am positive that I will be reading more of their work. August was a good reading month. I found so many books that made me smile and left me warm and fuzzy, and for that, I am grateful.

But, that's not the best part. I also had 8 5-star rated books, which I am excited to share with you.

Can't Wait Wednesday!
Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
I am combining CWW with Books From the Backlog hosted by Carole at Carole's Random Life in Books. This will allow me to feature some newly "rediscovered" books, which I plan on reading, alongside a new release.

Top 10 of 2019: OTPs - Favorite Fictional Couples
It's the end of the year, and that means BEST OF lists! I find this task difficult, but I enjoy it so much.
Top 10 of 2019 is a hosted by Kimberly Faye Reads and Ginger. Today's topic is...
OTPs - Favorite Fictional Couples!
I am lover of romance, and I would say that most of the books I read feature a bit of romance. For this topic, I decided to feature couples from my adult shelf. These books not only featured couples I was rooting for, but they also earned high star ratings from me.

Top Ten Tuesday: Thank Goodness for Second Chances
Thank Goodness for Second Chances!
So, this isn't the official topic, but I have recently read quite a few second chance romances, and just felt the need to share.
I love romances, and my favorite are second chance romances. It can be a husband and wife trying to save their marriage, first loves reunited, or a couple realizing they made a mistake after divorcing. No matter the situation, I just adore the idea that the love between these people never faded, that they carried that spark for each other the whole time. They just needed the right conditions for it to reignite.
Below are some recent second chance romances, which I really enjoyed and left me all sorts of happy and hopeful.
