My Week in Review
Happy Sunday! If you are in the path of Fern, I hope you are safe and warm. We are still waiting for the storm to arrive by me, but the outlook is for quite a bit of snow. I hate winter. I know I am lucky that I can work from home if necessary, but I am not a fan of switching up my in-office days. I had to do that last week because of the holiday. The traffic driving on Tuesday is NOT the same as Mondays. It took me so long to get home compared to the previous two Mondays. --sigh--
As I said, we had a holiday on Monday. I got a haircut and saw the ophthalmologist to schedule my IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) therapy. I will have to switch my in-office days for that too. It's four treatments, and the doctor only does them on Thursdays. Fingers crossed it's money well spent and actually gives me some relief.
Other than that, work, rinse, repeat. We had a nice warm day on Thursday which surprised me. The previous day had been 4°F, so I was bundled up when I left for the train station, but ended up leaving some outerwear in the car. I mean, it felt so warm (36°F). I was happy about it.

Stacking the Shelves
This was a good week for invites. I received a few for books that were on my TBR which made me happy. I will definitely be downloading Big Stick Energy (I love Bowen), and leaning yes on Destination Funeral, Fossil Feud, and Rewrite the Stars. Hot Chocolate was an auto-approval I had my eye on which I am reading this week.

Read Last Week
This was a good reading week. No Place Like You lived up to my expectations. It was warm and fun and wonderful. Loved it! I also really loved Rookie Season. I have enjoyed Brunner's DC Eagles series, and I was excited that this book aged up a character from that series. I love this trend. In the opening author note, they say this book is New Adult, but it wasn't set in college or all about sex. I KNOW! I am falling into THAT view of New Adult, but you know. It was very good, and I cannot wait for the next book.
