My Week in Review
Happy Sunday! Today I am enjoying ANOTHER beautiful day. I can complaint about a lot of things from last week but the weather did not make the list. We had cool mornings (60s, even 58 one morning), and it was low 80s and low humidity in the afternoon. I missed zero days on the patio. Quite an improvement from the previous week.
Work was super busy since I had to cover two roles, AND they rolled out a new complaint filing system for testing, and guess who was part of that? Me. I didn't do too much filing, but we had these meetings about it every day. It was time consuming. I am interested in seeing this shared with a wider audience, and at least they did listen to me and my co-coordinator about other people who should be included for a validation piece. We got everything done, so I was happy by Friday.
My daughter tried for years to get tickets to see the Savannah Bananas, and this year, she is going twice. She went Friday. It looked like a lot of fun from the pictures. I am jealous. I know I wouldn't go all the way out to the Bronx to see a game. She only had to walk like three blocks.

Read Last Week
This was a good week. I had one book that didn't live up to the hype in my head, but everything else was great. My top book of the week was Every Version of You. The concept was fantastic. This woman dies with many regrets and is given an opportunity to start over at any time in her life. She had ideas of how she wanted to change things from the past, but once there, a new future shows itself. There was a great twist, and I simply adored every second of this book.

Sorry about work! That sounds so tedious. Our weather was pretty good here as well. The Bananas have played a few times about 45 minutes from us, but the tickets are impossible to get. Have a great week!

DeleteYay for nice weather! I can't complain about our weather here right now, either. Temps in the 90s isn't too bad for summer and we cool down at night. I'm curious if The Mendocino Book Club is set in the town we visit here in California along the sea. It's so pretty and it'd be fun to read a series set in the location because I know it so well.

DeleteI would KILL for 58 LOL. It's been a month and a half of brutal heat here, with only the occasional slightly-less-brutal couple of days in between, and I'm so DONE with the summer. Except there's still August...and maybe even September...

I didn't know what Savannah Bananas was...you always make me discover new things LOL.
We had some great mornings. I sat with my blanket out on the patio and just enjoyed it while I could. August is always the worst month, so I am preparing myself mentally. There apparently are a bunch of profession baseball teams who are to baseball when the Globetrotters are to basketball. Entertainment.

DeleteI'm glad your weather was lovely to offset the extra work this week. I see the reels for the Savannah Bananas all the time and it looks like so much fun. I wouldn't pay for a photographer to take pictures of my pet, I have great pictures I've or other family members have taken of my pets. We had nice weather last week, but it is hot and humid again this week (95 with the humidex for the last couple of days.)
ReplyDeleteI loved those pictures though. They were amazing. It's thundering and lightning out right this second. The humidity was much higher today. Typical summer weather.
