From USA Today bestselling author Christina Hovland comes a single parent, #DateMyCelebrityDad, forced proximity romance.
Divorce her Beverly Hills husband: check. Set the neighborhood dumpster on fire with her nightstand buddy… check. Her hunky celebrity chef neighbor rushes to her aid? Sigh. Check mate.
Emmaline Eaton is doing her best to avoid the attractive chef, but their daughters just became the bestest of friends.
Ethan Greene's culinary show and career are in shambles. He already has too much on his plate trying to figure out the single parent life when his daughter launches a trending hashtag of #DateMyCelebrityDad. Now he’s getting all kinds of unwanted attention, so he calls in a favor from Emmaline. If she could just pretend to be his date until the social media mayhem dies down, that would be fabulous.
But when their kids play matchmaker, just how much heat can Ethan and Emmaline handle?
Emmaline was recently divorced and back in her home town away from the glitter and celebrity culture she had tired of. She agrees to fake date her neighbor, chef Ethan, as he tries to rebuild his career. When things between them become real, Emmaline worries about taking a chance on Ethan who was looking to recapture the limelight and the lifestyle she had recently fled.
As a BIG Mommy Wars fan, I was excited to finally read Em's story. From the very beginning, I was laughing out loud. THIS was what I loved about Hovland's books. She put the com in rom-com, making me laugh and smile. The chemistry and rapport between Em and Ethan was fantastic, and their girls being besties just made it better. Em's family and Barbie added to the fun as well.
I loved Ethan so much for Em. Her ex was not great. He worked to make her feel bad and belittle her talents. She didn't even know how to accept a compliment after so many years with her former husband. Ethan appreciated the way she looked as well as her wit and artistic skills. It was fabulous seeing her bloom under the right conditions.
It was thrill to get back to one of Hovland's worlds which was filled with lots of laughs and warm fuzzies.

Getting snowed in with my brother’s best friend wasn’t on the Christmas concert set list.
My life as pop star Rebecca Rios is one big glittery front. When my team books me last minute for a gig, cancelling my family plans, I snap. One breakdown and a snowstorm later, I’m hiding at a lodge that looks like a Hallmark movie brought to life.
Then Reese Marchiano knocks on my door—my brother’s best friend, firefighter, and my crush all wrapped up in a Christmas bow. Now we’re snowed in together, decorating cookies, hunting for a missing Christmas star, and falling for each other between sips of hot cocoa.
But my team won’t stop calling. They want me back. And when Reese accidentally tells me my niece has been sick—news I missed because I’ve been too busy chasing fame—I realize it’s cost me everything that matters.
Now I have to choose between the spotlight that’s suffocating me or a cozy mountain town where nobody wants my autograph ... just my heart.
Can I trade stage lights for starlight and find my way home for Christmas?
From USA Today bestselling author Ellie Hall, this sweet, closed-door Christmas noel novella with frosted kisses, a mini pug in a sweater, and a HEA will melt your heart faster than snowflakes on your tongue. Read for the perfect cozy holiday escape!
Rebecca could not wait to be with her family for Christmas, but her management had other plans. What's a harried pop star to do? Well, she steals a car, tosses her phone, and finds her way to a charming inn where she gets snowed in with her brother's best friend and teen crush, Reese. There, they both get overloaded with holiday spirit as they reawaken pieces of themselves and find love.
THIS is exactly what I expect when I read a holiday book. I want it sweet, frothy, and Hallmarkie. This was the perfect escape. I am always down for a brother's best friend romance, and I liked that these two had so many years of shared history, but what I really adored was all the holiday happenings at this inn. Every event was tons of fun! I could hear the jingle bells and smell the pine as I read each page. And, of course, the story was elevated by the presence of Pookie, the pug pugcess. This little spoiled dog was precious.
Overall: This book was short and sweet and was the perfect pick me up which gave me a great injection of holiday spirt.
