Eve is used to being the odd woman out. As the only girl on her school's baseball team, she knows exactly how to put sweaty, macho baseball players in their place, and she's focused on one thing and one thing only—being the best pitcher she can be.

But when a freak accident forces her high school to be absorbed by the neighboring town, Eve has to contend with a new group of guys who aren't used to having a woman on their team. And the new team's star pitcher, Jamie, has no interest in being ousted from his throne. He can't afford to give up his starting slot to a new pitcher—even worse, to a girl.

As the competition between Jamie and Eve starts to heat up, so does their attraction to each other. Can they keep their heads in the game, or will they end up getting played?

Top Ten Tuesday: I Want to Go to There!

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is...

I Want to Go to There!

I will admit, that most of the books I read are set in the US, but I have had the pleasure of venturing outside my home country via a book. These are some of memorable "trips" I have taken.

NOTE: Though I have read other books set outside the US, I am trying to pick ones that showed us some of the sites.

ANOTHER NOTE: I didn't notice until after I published, that I did the topic for March 27th, not Feb 27th. Oooops!

Linden Rose has a big secret--she is homeless and living in the halls of her small-town high school. Her position as school blog editor, her best friends, Ham and Seung, and the promise of a future far away are what keep Linden under the radar and moving forward.

But when cool-girl Bea comes to school with a bloody lip, the damage hits too close to home. Linden begins looking at Bea's life, and soon her investigation prompts people to pay more attention. And attention is the last thing she needs.

Linden knows the only way to put a stop to the violence is to tell Bea's story and come to terms with her own painful past. Even if that means breaking her rules for survival and jeopardizing the secrets she's worked so hard to keep.

Sundays with Sam - The Sunday Post

Sundays with Sam is a combination of Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga's Reviews.

My Week in Review

I had a rough commuting week. Thank goodness it was only four days long. We did get Chick-Fil-A at work one day and pizza another. So, that was good. Other than that, I throughly enjoyed the sneak peek of spring we received this week, and am really looking forward to more of that.

This week I had talked about how I like to read feel-good books because I enjoy the escape, and then I saw this post:
