My Week in Review
Happy Sunday! I hope December is off to a great start for everyone.
Last Sunday, we went to see Frozen. It was great, and I cannot stop singing Love is an Open Door. So catchy! The holiday plays can be somewhat chaotic at the theatre since they draw a lot of kids. Sometimes you need to understand your child's limitations, you know what I mean.
Monday, I was off, but I didn't do anything since my daughter was working. Tuesday, she went home. I ws thinking how great it was that we got to the airport without issue just to find out her flight was delayed four hours. Newark really works hard to earn the title as most stressful airport.
I had to go into the office the other three days since I had off. I am still trying to figure out what happened one morning. When I checked my train before I left my house, it was running about on time. It was 31°F, so I really didn't want to wait outside any longer than necessary. Then they announced a delay with the Amtrak that comes four minutes before my train, but my train they said was only 20 minutes late. Then, they announced my train would be there in eight minutes. Then they said it was arriving, and then NOTHING! No mention, nothing. The Amtrak came 32 minutes late, and the next Amtrak came. I heard an announcement that the 6 am was running 19 minutes late. Lo and behold, a train shows up around 6:19. I get on it, and when I get to Hamilton, I am running up the stairs, across the walkway, down the stairs. I see my shuttle and am so happy it waited for me. I get in, an asthma attack kicking in, and he doesn't leave. I look over and another train pulls in. I guess my train did come, and it was simply 58 minutes late. *shrug*
It's getting cold here. The mornings are tough. It was 23°F Friday morning. I am glad I was able to find some boots that don't bother my bad foot much because my feet would be frozen without them.
It's amazing when something takes over my feed. I do not have a Spotify, so I do not have a wrap, but everyone else in the world does. I saw a ton of these this week.

Stacking the Shelves
I feel like I went overboard with the free downloads, but so many of these freebies appealed to me, especially the holiday books. I can't get a enough of them! I was over the moon to get an invite for the new Center book. I adore her books but don't get approved when I request them, so a thrill to get that invite. I did get approved for the new Rachel Linden. Another author I can't get enough of. Her feel-good books with a touch of magic are always winners for me.

Read Last Week
It was a pretty good week. After listening to Cocoa Kisses, I plan on reading more from Jacobson. The book was adorable. It made me laugh and smile, and I had a great time reading it. I also loved the latest from Segura. Her books are some of the few action/adventure books I will not miss reading.

This is my first Lulu Moore book, and it is going very well. Mint to Be is a cute young adult romance. I am into the small town and holiday stuff and cannot wait until the female main character kicks her boarding school boyfriend to the curb.

ReplyDelete😶 I love that "simply" LOL.
That's a TON of books!
"and cannot wait until the female main character kicks her boarding school boyfriend to the curb"
😂
It happened! Boarding school boyfriend is gone!!! Thank goodness. He was annoying. My train was an enigma that day. I was so confused, I thought I was in some sort fever dream.
DeleteIts really cold here as well and they say this week it will be even colder. I have a thing against coats, but I might have to cave. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThe daytime is not bad, but the mornings are tough. I ordered an easier windshield cover so I will be more likely to put it on. I have two coats for the winter - the below freezing and above freezing. Been wearing the below freezing one. It works well, but my hands and nose are so cold.
