Love and Marriage!
Happy Tuesday and Welcome July! The summer is flying by, thank goodness! Today, we have a freebie. I just finished an excellent romance that featured a divorced couple, and it made me think of those romances that focus on married couples that may be in crisis or have already divorced, but they are working their way back to each other. As a lover of second chance romances, these stories appeal to me. There is something about seeing these people fight for each other, or watching them reunite after years apart. I just love them! Below are ten such romances I have read and enjoyed. Disclaimer: I did include one engaged couple, but it fits the whole marriage in crisis type of trope.
- Left of Forever by Tarah DeWitt
- Rules for Second Chances by Maggie North
- Emergency Contact by Lauren Layne and Anthony Ledonne
- Happy Place by Emily Henry
- Landline by Rainbow Rowell
- What Happened to the McCrays? by Tracey Lange
- Luck & Last Resorts by Sarah Grunder Ruiz
- The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams
- Out of the Woods by Hannah Bonam-Young
- Love Her or Lose Her by Tessa Bailey

I loved Emergency Contact and The Bromance Book Club!
ReplyDeleteI wish Adams would give us another Bromance book.
DeleteNathan Hill's Wellness would probably be my favorite to fit this prompt. It is such a thorough portrait of the unravelling.
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty chonky book.
DeleteHappy Place is the perfect choice!
ReplyDeleteI know they weren't married, but it felt right for this list.
DeleteSecond chance romance is a favourite of mine and a marriage sorting things out and working it out is wonderful. Great choice, Sam. I have read 4 of these and enjoyed them. I will have to check out a couple of the others.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of people fighting for each other or returning to each other. Warms my heart.
DeleteI know a fair amount of couples who have divorced and then eventually remarried. It's a thing!
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
It's an expensive thing, LOL! But I love hearing about reunion stories like that.
