My Winter TBR!
BUT! At least I have lots of January, February, and March releases to read. And let me tell you, there are SO MANY books being released in the first quarter of the year, that I want to read. This list is a mix of books, which I own, will definitely read, and am very excited about.
- Our Year of Maybe by Rachel Lynn Solomon
- Pretty in Punxsutawney by Laurie Boyle Crompton
- A Cold Day in the Sun by Sara Biren
- Goodbye Perfect by Sara Barnard
- The Sound of Drowning by Katherine Fleet
- Fame, Fate, and the First Kiss by Kasie West
- Nick and June Were Here by Shalanda Stanley
- Comics Will Break Your Heart by Faith Erin Hicks
- Watch Us Rise by Renee Watson, Ellen Hagan
- You Asked for Perfect by Laura Silverman
Fame, Fate, and the First Kiss sounds super adorable! I have that on my tbr too. Here's hoping we both love!

I will read everything West writes. Even my lease favorite by her was satisfying and left me smiling.
DeleteSo much goodness to look forward to! The Sound of Drowning looks heartbreaking for some reason. NEED to find out more!
ReplyDeleteSecrets always tend to come out and make some good drama in stories.
DeleteI haven't put together a winter TBR, just working on what I want to get to in January at the moment!
ReplyDeleteI had like 25 review books for Jan. Glad to say I am halfway through, but I always look a little ahead.
DeleteGreat list! Watch Us Rise made mine as well this week, but I'm also very interested in Goodbye Perfect and You Asked for Perfect.
ReplyDeleteI just realized - that's a lot of perfect there. Barnard is so wonderful! I am really excited to read more her books. I hope they all get US releases.
DeleteI am so excited to read the new Kasie West book! I am a sucker for all the contemporaries and I can't wait to read it. I hope that you enjoy all of the books you have chosen. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen am I not excited about a Kasie West book?
DeleteAll of these are new to me. Where have I been? LOL I have a large stack of winter reads. Some romance, urban fantasy, science fiction and, of course, some horror. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou mix it up well. I think almost every book on my TBR is contemporary. I guess my mix comes from age group.
DeleteI hope you love them! I have paid zero attention to what’s coming out next year. I’m still trying to catch up on books from last year!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I appreciate your goal of trying to read your shelf. I am terrible about that.
DeleteI agree, winter sucks! I always look forward though to all the great book releases during the season, it helps me cope!
ReplyDeleteYeah, the books will keep me warm.
DeleteFame Fat e& the First Kiss and Pretty in Punxsutawney are two I am excited for. So many good books coming out!
ReplyDeleteMy list is endless, but these are 10 I actually have and will definitely read.
DeleteYou Asked for Perfect and Our Year of Maybe sound good. Good luck getting to them!
ReplyDeleteI have all the books up there already. That's how I know I will read them.
DeleteI think these are all new to me! I need to try Kasie West sometime.
ReplyDeleteKasie West books are so fun and cute. You should try one. I think my favorite was The Distance Between Us, but all (except 1) of her books was 5 stars for me.
DeleteOur Year of Maybe was FABULOUS. Like just go read it now and flail with me. Goodbye Perfect looks really good too, that is one I hope to read at some point. Hope you enjoy these!! Also your GIF is very, VERY on point 😂
ReplyDeleteI think I am reading Maybe next week. I am hearing amazing things. Winter really does suck. I guess I should be grateful that we have been getting a ton of rain, because if it were colder, we would have had foot upon foot of snow.
DeleteI hope you enjoy all of these when you get to read them! The Sound of Drowning looks really interesting!
ReplyDeleteI am really intrigued by Downing. It sounds like it will be feel-packed.
DeleteComics Will Break Your Heart is one I'm interested in. It looks cute-ish. Also-- Goodbye, Perfect!! I just looked it up and YES!!! I need that one!
ReplyDeleteI like the whole comic family legacy and the family that stole it all from them with the Romeo and Juliet romance. Barnard's books are so wonderful. I need all her books to be published in the US.
DeleteGo Lucy! I couldn't agree more haha. Comics Will Break Your Heart certainly sounds interesting- will have to look closer- and a new Laura Silverman book. I liked her Girl Out of Water.
ReplyDeleteI think Schultz is rolling over in his grave seeing such things come out of Lucy's mouth, but hey, it's true. I am excited about Comics, and I very interested in seeing what Silverman has in store for us.
DeleteI asked for Our Year of Maybe after having seen it some weeks/months ago here! No luck so far so I guess i'll just have to buy it LOL Sophie @bewareofthereader
ReplyDeleteI always say, if I didn't get declined, there is still hope.
DeleteThat The SOund of Drowning cover gets me every time. It's so pretty.
ReplyDeleteKaren @ For What It's Worth
It's really nice, and I like the added line graphics. Those were a change from the original cover.
DeleteI'm so excited about Pretty in Punxsutawney (wow, is that hard to spell)! I just got an ARC of it, and am hoping to read it soon! I haven't read any of Kasie West's most recent releases, but I'm eager to go back and read more of her backlist.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it shall be called PiP. I mean, it name drops two of my favorite movies. It has to be good.
DeleteOhhhh love this list! I hadn't been reading contemporaries lately so I hadn't had any of these on my GR list besides the Kasie West book! I think I'll be adding quite a few :D!
ReplyDeleteI am a contemporary-ho, and it's pretty much all I read, but I read it on MG, YA, and the adult level. So, I have variety.
DeleteI don't know these, but I'm LOVING all these covers! I have to look them all up now. Hopefully you love them all and they make winter suck a little less 😂
ReplyDeleteA good books makes a lot of stuff suck less.
DeleteI'm not familiar with these, but the collage image is full of such nice colors and pretty covers, I love it!
ReplyDeletePretty covers are usually what pull me in. I know, I shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but I can't help myself.
DeleteI REALLY want to read You Asked for Perfect. It sounds quite good!

I liked Silverman's debut, and think the concept for Perfect is great. I feel like she will do a good job with it.
DeleteI love the cover for Watch Us Rise. Honestly, the rest of the books sound good, too.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thanks for stopping by earlier.
I was so happy when I got approved for Watch Us Rise. It sounds amazing!
DeleteEven though I am a book behind, I am really excited about this upcoming Kasie West novel. Hope you enjoy all the books you pick up this winter!
ReplyDeleteI love K West! I am sort of happy she has been putting out multiple books each year.
DeleteI really want to read One Year of Maybe. There are so many books coming out. I can't keep up. I am so lost with it all. So many I want. =)
ReplyDeleteMary
I am starting that one later today, and I am really excited. I am hearing so many good things about it. I am going to listen to Solomon's debut as I read it too. Double dose of the author there.
DeleteKnowing you, you will be able to fly through all of these books! I have really been enjoying Sara Barnard lately so I am very much looking forward to hearing what you think about that one!! Also, I don't like winter either so I am intending to reading it all away :D
ReplyDeleteBarnard's books are so lovely. I want them all to be released in the US. Well, it was 61 F our first day of winter here in NJ, which was bizarre, but it was nice to not have to wear a coat for one day.
DeleteI hope you enjoy them, Sam!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
