What did you hear? You know what I love? Funny books, and Stephanie Kate Strohm has become one of my go-tos for funny books. Her sense of humor jibes with mine, and I always get her pop culture references. Therefore, reading her books is always a good experience for me.
Kimberly Landis-Lilley and Teddy Lin are over. Yes, the Kim and Teddy broke up.
At least that's what Phil Spooner thinks he overheard and then told Jess Howard, Kim's best friend. Something about Teddy not liking Kim's Instas? Or was it that Teddy is moving to Italy and didn't want to do long distance? Or that Kim slid into someone else's DMs?
Jess told her boyfriend, Elvis, that he needs to be on Kim's side. Especially if he wants to keep her as his girlfriend. But Elvis is also Teddy's best friend.
Now, Kim's run out of school for the day. Jess is furious. Elvis is confused. And half the lunch period won't talk to Teddy. Even the teachers have taken sides.
William Henry Harrison High will never be the same again!
The synopsis for this book reminds me of her last two Scholastic books - It's Not Me, It's You and The Date to Save, which both delighted me. I sense we will have another fantastic cast of quirky characters, who engage in witty banter and lots of high school shenanigans, and who doesn't love shenanigans?
From some early reviews I have read, it seems the school's IT couple breaks up, or at least that's what they've heard, and the rest of the school proceeds to be TeamHer or TeamHim. I expect to giggle, laugh, and cackle from this one.
What are you waiting on?

DeleteI'm headed off to an internationally set urban fantasy for this week's choice!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have read any UF in ages.
DeleteThis does sound like an amusing one. I love that the teachers are taking sides - I could see that happening at the high school I went to. LOL
