Kate and I are friends. She lives in Chicago; I don't, but I've been there many times to visit and do research. Fun story - last year I wanted to do a winter research trip and go to a hockey game at the United Center so Kate and I met up for dinner and went to the game (My Jets vs her Hawks) and I spent a few days wandering around Chicago doing the research that is in this very book!
