My Week in Review
Happy Sunday! Not much going on here. I worked this week, and my dad had to go to the hospital on Friday, so we have been visiting him. Hoping he comes home soon.

Stacking the Shelves
I find it ironic how I get so many invites for young adult books now. Back when I was reading them, I got none. Always happy to be considered even if the books are not a great fit for me. I was thrilled with the Netgalley approvals. Anna McCallie is new-to-me, but the story sounds wonderful, and I am excited to read more from Olson. I also downloaded the Chibinecko Kitchen sequel. I really enjoyed the first book.
Netgalley/Edelweiss
- The Great Outdoors by Kayla Olson
- Abby Offsides by Anna McCallie
- The Bribe by Devney Perry
Invites
- The Soulmate Strategy by Corey Seemiller
- What Lies Beneath the Flowers by Natasha Diaz
- Love Me Tomorrow by Emiko Jean
- The Calico Cat at the Chibineko Kitchen by Yuta Takahashi
- The Drama Room by Elizabeth Searle
Read Last Week
Funny story, it seems I had already read the backlist book I featured this week, so I just went and picked anther Shalvis backlist. It was cute. My favorite book of the week was quite unexpected. It was an invite and an author I had never read, but I really loved An Academic Affair. I don't really care about academia, but I cared about these characters and fully onboard watching this marriage of convenience turn into something read. As expected, Lynn Painter's newest young adult book was great, and I enjoyed the new Sophie Cousens book as well.

Haha, they want to lure you back!
Ha! They won't be able to lure me back. I will only read them if they are by an old school author. Thank you! Dad is hopefully on the mend.

DeleteSorry to hear about your father. Hopefully he comes home soon. The dog costumes are hilarious. Our dogs won't let us get near them with a costume!
ReplyDeleteI am amazed that the dogs will wear the costumes and how elaborate some of them are.
