Top Ten Tuesday: Please Sir, May I Have Some More

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is…

Please Sir, May I Have Some More

You probably recognize the quote, but today I am applying it to some attribute of a book that I loved so much and would like to see a lot more of. One thing I always love is found family. Some people are fortunate to have amazing biological families, while others are not. Regardless, we could always be lucky enough to surround ourselves with incredible loving people, who become the our family, the one we chose. Below are some wonderful books that featured some amazing found families.

Do you have a favorite found family book?

Love this! I have a found family trope post written coming soon that I can’t wait to share! I love found families!

    • I loved both his YA books, and he did such a beautiful job pulling me back to the time of the AIDS crisis. I was a little mad about a decision he made for one of the characters, but it was still an excellent book.

I am so happy that we have found family in We are Inevitable as I ordered it blindly 🙂

  3. Such a great topic! Six of Crows is definitely one that comes to mind for me for found families. Court of Mist and Fury and Love at First are great for this, too! Many of the others are on my TBR.

I love the loud families and one thing I really enjoy lately is the crazy and wild grandparent characters. Fun post!

    • If you like loud families, you would love my mom’s side. She is the oldest of 9 kids, and they grew up in Brooklyn. Always very loud at family gatherings.

    • Forman’s last two books were stellar for me. They were very different from the ones that catapulted her to YA fame, but so touching and beautiful.

  5. Six of Crows is probably my favorite found family book. I haven’t read most of the ones on your list but I’m a huge fan of stories that feature found families so I’ll be jotting down lots of titles for the TBR. 🙂

  6. The family in The Forever Girl was one of my favorites. I hope to start We Are Inevitable this weekend and am excited to know that there will be a found family in that one.

    • Shalvis always writes great “families” in her books, but that bunch stands out as one of my favorites. I hope you love the Forman book. It hit me hard and made me happy
