I accidentally get spoilers in physical books when I flick ahead to find how many pages I have in a book as well. It's not for me. Now I only tend to do it if I'm part way through a book and want to DNF but still want to know what happens at the end. It kind of feels wrong to flick ahead and I felt like a rebel when I've done it before. Some people have said they need to see if the ending will be too sad, and that looking ahead reduces their stress, others say they do it when they DNF. I think I would be like you. A lot of romance authors will put it right in their synopsis, that there it's an HEA romance. Those are the only kind I want to read. I thought I heard something like the library of congress listing should/does contain trigger warnings.
