Winter is quickly approaching, and though I am not looking forward to any sort of frozen precipitation, I am looking forward to a billion books being released in early 2021. Wow! I cannot believe it almost 2021. Crazy! I have already read 11 January releases, and based on those experiences, I am very optimistic for next year's crop of books. Without further ado, here are ten books from my winter TBR. It's a mix of library holds, must haves, and ARCs, which I am trying to prioritize this winter.
- Rent a Boyfriend by Gloria Chao
- Anxious People by Fredrick Backman
- You Have a Match by Emma Lord
- Then There Was You by Mona Shroff
- Amelia Unabridged by Ashley Schumacher
- Love at First by Kate Clayborn
- Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson
- K-Pop Confidential by Stephen Lee
- With You All the Way by Cynthia Hand
- Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales

I am someone who is not a big fan of winter or the cold either. I recently got the audiobook of rent a boyfriend so hopefully I will be listening to that soon, and I am always happy reading a Backman novel as well. I hope you'll like those two in particular. I want to read the christmasaurus this winter!
ReplyDeleteI am watching it snow right now, and I am just hoping we don't lose power. With work from home, I am not as stressed, but still I want to have power. I just finished the audiobook of Rent a Boyfriend. I enjoyed it, and I hope you do too. The Christmasaurus. I need to check that out
DeleteI haven't read Love Lettering yet, but I love the cover of Clayborn's Love at First!
ReplyDeleteI like Love Lettering a lot. I was happy with all four of the Clayborn books I read. I hope you get a chance to check her out
DeleteI’m glad you’re enjoying January’s books! I have Anxious People on my Christmas list. We’ll see if Santa brings it.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I will now state, that you cannot go wrong with a Backman book. I hope Santa brings it for you. My library wait is an eternity.
DeleteThe synopsis of Love at First has me wishing it was in my hands right now. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd, Clayborn's books have all been successes for me.

ReplyDeleteYou are so far ahead with your ARCs. Gold star for you!
DeleteRent a Boyfriend & Then There Was You both look so cute! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on those books. And I'm hoping to finally get to The Cruel Prince *fingers crossed*.

I enjoyed Rent a Boyfriend (just finished it today - my loan came in early). I loved Shroff's last book, so I think Then There Was You will be great. Hope you read and love The Cruel Prince.
DeleteOne of these days I need to read more from Fredrik Backman! :)
ReplyDeleteHis books are really something special. They quietly come up and wallop you in the feels. I love them!
DeleteI can't even think about list of books to read. I just need to read anything lol
ReplyDeleteIf I ever get motivated - I would like to get to the 50-ish books I have on my book cart.

It's nice to have some choices to just grab when the spirit moves you. I like structure.

Thanks!
DeleteSince it's hot and sunny for most of the year here in Arizona, I always look forward to the cooler months. Our morning have been chilly lately - in the 40s and 50s - and I'm FREEZING! Arizonans are wimpy when it comes to "cold" weather :)
ReplyDeleteI'm excited about several of these titles too. GOOD GIRL, BAD BLOOD is one I'm definitely looking forward to. Also, YOU HAVE A MATCH since I enjoyed TWEET CUTE so much. I hope we both love these and that you also adore your other picks.
Happy TTT!
I am watching a snow storm right now. I think it's in the 20s outside too. Tweet Cute was one of my 2020 favorites, so I have high hopes for You Have a Match, and I cannot wait to get back in Pippa's world.
DeleteYou Have a Match, Amelia Unabridged, and Perfect on Paper are three that I have for review! I'm really looking forward to all of them. I didn't know Kate Clayborn had written something new! I absolutely adored Love Lettering. <3
ReplyDeleteLindsi @ Do You Dog-ear? 💬
I have all those for review, which is why I will definitely be reading them, but they all sound fabulous too
DeleteI'm really curious about Anxious People!! And it's crazy that it's almost 2021, but I will take it! This year has been kind of rough - obviously with COVID, etc. but also in personal ways.

Definitely been a tough year. Books helped me stay sane. Backman's books are so wonderful! They never fail to leave me feeling a lot
DeleteSo many great titles, Sam! K-pop confidential has been on my radar for a bit and now Good Girl Bad Blood is definitely one to add as well.
ReplyDeleteI am so eager to join Pippa in her next mystery

ReplyDeleteI started listening to Anxious people this morning and it's so good. As always, Backman has made me laugh and cry.

ReplyDeleteI really liked both authors previous books, and these sound just as good. Hope we both love them.
DeleteYou Have a Match is one I'm hoping to start this weekend and Good Girl, Bad Blood will be high priority for me as well once I get my hands on a copy. LOL at that Lucy graphic!
ReplyDeleteGlad you mentioned it. For some reason it had disappeared from my spreadsheet. I will be starting it this upcoming week now. I am not holding my breath for an approval for Good Girl, Bad Blood, but I think my library will get it.
DeleteLove At First is on my TBR too.
ReplyDeleteI'm super excited for 2021's reading. There are so many books I'm already desperate to get my hands on!
