It's the end of the year, and that means BEST OF lists! I find this task difficult, but I enjoy it so much.
Top 10 of 2019 is a hosted by Kimberly Faye Reads and Ginger. Today's topic is...
OTPs - Favorite Fictional Couples!
I am lover of romance, and I would say that most of the books I read feature a bit of romance. For this topic, I decided to feature couples from my adult shelf. These books not only featured couples I was rooting for, but they also earned high star ratings from me.
- Maya & Sam from Then, Now, Always by Mona Shroff
- Esme & Khai from The Bride Test by Helen Hoang
- Ayesha & Khalid from Ayesha at Last by Uzma Jalaluddin
- Kristen & Josh from The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez
- Evvie & Dean from Evvie Drake Starts Over by Linda Holmes
- Cassie & Rookie from Things You Save in a Fire by Katherine Center
- Calla & Jonah from The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker
- Chloe & Red from Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert
- Kincaid & Ash from The One for You by Roni Loren
- Becca & Nate from Brooklynaire by Sarina Bowen

I have only read 3 of these books but I did love the couples in The Bride Test, The Friend Zone, and Things You Save in a Fire.
ReplyDeleteI very rarely don't love a couple in the romances I read, but these books stood out to me overall.
DeleteI haven't read any of these, although a few are on my list! I chose to do my Top 10 today on book boyfriends instead of couples. You can check it out HERE.
ReplyDeleteI think I would pick many of the same for book boyfriends. I think my feelings regarding characters is closely linked to how much I enjoyed the book
DeleteThis is a great list. I was a huge fan of Esme and Khai, Cassie & Rookie, and Evvie and Dean.
ReplyDeleteRookie still owns me
DeleteEsme and Khai were so good together. They just accepted each other completely. And Calla and Jonah... serious swoon! I’m reading The One For You now and I’m dying for something to happen between Kincaid and Ash! :)
ReplyDeleteThe Simple Wild sequel cannot come out fast enough. I really need to catch up with Calla and Jonah. There was a lot of complicated history between Ash and Kincaid, but we all know, when it happens, it will be magic
DeleteI am so happy The Bride Test, Ayesha at Last and Get a Life Chloe Brown made the list for favourite couples as all of them are ones I want to read (and I am actually currently reading one of them right now!)
ReplyDeleteYeah! Which book are you reading? Not only did I love the couples, I loved the books. I hope you get to read all three, and enjoy them as much as I did.
DeleteI'm hoping to read The Bride Test soon!! It's sitting on my shelf waiting on me. Brooklynaire is the only one of these I've gotten to read yet.
ReplyDeleteThat was a spectacular debut. Michael was just one of the best heroes I have even met, and I liked the peeks we got at Nate and Becca in previous books, but I loved getting their whole story. I adored those two. Hope you get to read them both!
DeleteI haven't read any of these but I have 4 of them on my list to read this year so I'm very excited. I do love my OTPs!
ReplyDeleteWell, I hope you can to them, because there is so much to love about each and every book on this list.
