Books I Need in My Grabby Hands!
This week we are talking about books that we would love to be reading RIGHT NOW, but, like, we don't have them or a time machine so that we could travel forward in time and make them be released. BUT! until then, we have these wishes in our hearts, and will pray to the book gods for approvals, book mail, or Goodreads wins.
The publisher has dashed my hopes of getting a DRC of this one form Edelweiss, so I am holding out for a giveaway somewhere, because I NEED to know where this story is going. The ending of Warcross left me with my jaw on the ground, and I must know what happens next.
I am just feeding my desire for this book, but reading all the novellas. They are helping me construct my theories of what will happen, and it would be fantastic if I could confirm my theories sooner than later.
I love Levithan and I love this series. I was happy dancing, when I heard there would be more A, Rhiannon, and Nathan. I am really curious to see where Levithan takes us on A's search for understanding the soul and humanity.
It's no secret how much I love Stephanie Kate Strohm. She always delights me and leaves me overly happy. My trip to Scotland with her was fabulous, and I am eager to visit Paris with her.
Final books are a bittersweet thing for me, but McGee gave her characters some interesting arcs in the last book, and I was loving the direction they were going. Now, I just want to know how it all shakes out
Cassandra Clare
Series: The Dark Artifices, #3
Publisher: Margret K. McElderry Books
The ending of Lord of Shadows was devastating! Clare broke my heart, and she owes me answers. I can only hope it served a purpose, and I am ready to tackle her latest tome in order to get that closure.
This book has SO many elements that are part of every book I have loved. Stories of first love and first loss always hit me in the right way, and this one just keeps calling to me.
Giles debut was an outstanding read for me. It was really emotion, and made me want to read more from her. I saw the words "emotional", "hopeful", and "love" in the synopsis, and knew I had to read this book.
All the talk of this group of friends growing apart has my heart aching. I love stories of friendships, and want to bear witness to how all this bond-testing plays out.
Obviously a lot of sequels are anticipated, and I had to include this one, as Popović dazzled me with her debut. I want to go back into this world and learn more and more about the magic these women possess.
Wildcard and Two Dark Reigns are huge for me, can't wait for both! Fierce like a Firestorm sounds great too.
ReplyDeleteThe novellas have me even more curious about the TDC saga. I have to confirm my suspicions.
DeleteI forgot to put it on my own list but a huge YES to Wildcard!
ReplyDeleteThe ending to Warcross just left me all sorts of emotional.
DeleteBe still my heart, Love A La Mode is the cutest!!!
ReplyDeleteStrohm's books are my go-to for humorous and cute. She has yet to not delight me.
DeleteI've never heard of The Seven Torments of Amy and Craig but I'm so curious now! And I just really love the name Craig - he sounds fantastic. :)

The 90s and romantic entanglements had me all over this book.
DeleteThat ending of Lord of Shadows, seriously! Like how can she leave us like that?? (She always does that crap, lol) Thank god we don't have to wait a super long time in between, though waiting until the end of the year may kill me. And man do I need Wildcard too!
ReplyDeleteThat ending cut me like a knife!
DeleteI want Queen of Air and Darkness so I can finally read Lord of Shadows. Everyone said the ending was the worst, so I waited! I haven't heard of any of these other books though. I used to be in such a know about all the YA!! :(
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's nice to wait for all the books, but the spoilers! I had LoS spoiled for me by the moderator at BookCon. She didn't reveal the ending, but she revealed something major. That's what I get for being slow to read the sequel.
DeleteThese all look great! The Seven Torments of Amy and Craig looks cute! I hope you get these books soon!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, Seven Torments is Disney (they hate me! Like I'm on their auto-reject list - lol), but fingers crossed the library gets it.
DeleteI'll have to let my daughter know about the David Levithan book - she loves everything he puts out.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
DL is one of my faves, and I think this series is genius!
DeleteI still haven’t started the Every Day series. I see those books every time I go to the bookstore, but I always get distracted by other books. I hope you get a chance to read all these!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I was so wowed by the first book, and I liked getting into Rhiannon's head in the second. I am curious to see where it goes.
DeleteWaiting on the next in a series or the final book is so much more torturous than waiting for a stand-a-lone by an author you love. Looks like you’ve got a good mix of both.
ReplyDeleteFinal books are their own special kind of hell for me. I worry it will let me down, but I also don't want to leave the world.
DeleteThe cover for Queen of Air and Darkness By Cassandra Clare is gorgeous! Hope you get review copies to all of these :)
ReplyDeleteHer books covers have come a long way, and TDA has some of the prettiest.
DeleteI have yet to read a book by Cassandra Clare. Isn't that so strange?!?! I really want to but the series intimidates me. Great post! hope you get these books asap!
ReplyDeleteMy co-bloggers are BIG CC fans, and I started and cannot stop reading Shadowhunter stories.
DeleteThe Resolutions almost made my list this week. Hope we both enjoy it once it's released!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like one of those books that will be bittersweet, but I am hoping for more on the sweet side.
DeleteOooh nice picks!! Cannot wait for Wildcard!!! And Two Dark Reigns...though I still need to read book 2, so behind! Whelp!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I have been going hard on the TDC books. I never read novellas and Blake has me reading them for this series.
DeleteI just added a lot of these to my TBR, lol. Thanks for sharing your list! I have the first two books in the Katherine McGee series, but I haven't read them yet. I'm guessing I should? <3
ReplyDeleteLindsi @ Do You Dog-ear?
I am a fan of McGee's series. Book 2 gave new life to some of the characters too.
DeleteSo many goods ones!! I really need to read The Thousandth Floor! I hope you get all of these soon :D
ReplyDeleteI am a fan. It's like a futuristic Gossip Girl, and the soapy drama is delicious.
DeleteI have Wildcard and Queen of Air and Darkness on my top ten this week as well! I'm so excited for both of them! I hope get to read some of these early! :)
ReplyDeleteI am not holding my breath for early copies. I was lucky to get Warcross on EW, but I guess the publisher has no love for me any longer, because I was rejected for Wildcard. *crying in fetal position* I know the library will get both books, so I just have to wait. --sigh--
DeleteSeeing your list makes me remember all the books I swore I was going to read by now and haven't. Like Warcross, Wicked Like a Wildflower, The Thousandth Floor and also the sequel to that, ughhh. I need to get my act together! But I am so exited for Two Dark Reigns, The Seven Torments of Amy and Craig, and The Resolutions!!
ReplyDeleteI have not been starting too many new series, but I am excited to continue the ones on my list. I have a bunch of sequels I need to get this year.
DeleteWildcard and Queen of Air made my list too. And you have so many authors that are on my tbr that I need to find time to read. I hope you enjoy all of these books!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I read a lot, and I still cannot get to all the books I want. It's a struggle picking my next read.
DeleteIs the 7 Torments of Amy & Craig set in the 90's??? Because if so, I am SO IN!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm also adding THE RESOLUTIONS & THAT NIGHT to my TBR, so thanks!!
I was in college in the early 90s, so I have so many awesome memories tied to that time period. I am excited about Seven Torments.
DeleteQuite a few of these are new to me, I hope the wait isn't painful!
ReplyDeleteI have about 50 kajillion other books I possess that I can read, but you know, readers gotta read.
DeleteI'm waiting for the Cassandra Clare trilogy to be done so I binge read, I hate waiting for releases for ages!
ReplyDeleteWhoa! That's a lot of pages in a row, but it's awesome not to have to wait between books too.
DeleteLove a'la Mode looks too cute and I have Levithan's first 2 books in the series so I guess I need to catch up soon.
ReplyDeleteKaren @ For What It's Worth
Strohm's books are all so much fun. I just loved the whole concept of the Every Day books, and Levithan's execution was so good.
DeleteAww I missed Wildcard on Edelweiss... I’ll have to go see if they dash my hopes too! I’m intrigued by The Thousandth Floor... I’d heard mixed things but you being excited about it makes me wonder Those covers are so gorgeous I’m always wondering if I made the right choice... Great list Sam!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have better luck getting Wildcard than I did.
DeleteI should have added Wildcard to my list! Great picks. :)
ReplyDeleteI really need to know what's going on with that series. The ending left me a little broken.
DeleteYES to Two Dark Reigns! So. Much. Yes.
ReplyDeleteNicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
I need to read the new novella too!
DeleteA lot of these are sequels or continuations of a series and I can totally understand why you would want them! When it comes to series I just want to know more of what was going to happen :D I really want the Dreamer trilogy which continues on from the Raven Cycle and also the third book in the billionaire romance trilogy by Alexis Hall!!
ReplyDeleteI honestly could have made this whole list series books, but I tried to balance it out.
